I came here after a long weekend of walking a lot and a very inflamed body. I didn't know what to expect , but I am so glad I gave it a try. My body feels totally different after getting stretched out by Patrick, who really listened to my body and knew where to push or where to go gently, his experience in physical therapy definitely seemed to help me to heal and get better throughout the stretch session. I thought it would be a lot of pain being stretched out in places that are inflamed, but his knowledge in dealing with aches really made it pleasant to be stretched out. Also, The leg compression after also was so helpful and felt great !

This place kept popping up on my IG so I finally booked an intro session with Donna, who I ended up totally vibing with. She was PHE-NO-MINALLY well balanced between being friendly and professional. Staff were all super nice too! Though I had to rush to get to another appt, I thoroughly enjoyed my first booking and made sure I had enough time to sign up for membership bc self-care these days should be effing mandatory! I also snuck back for a cryo recovery sesh and apparently with membership you don’t need to book in advance for those if the machines are available. Definitely gonna try their face-ssage service next time!

Rashid is absolutely incredible! After my first massage, I was hooked it was that good! I loved how amazing I felt afterward, so of course, I signed up for the monthly membership. And the cherry on top? I can use my FSA card! It's the perfect treat I look forward to every month. The front desk team is super sweet, and the entire experience is just heavenly. Trust me, this place is a must 100% recommend it to everyone!

I tried my first Stretch*d session in December of 2023 — two years after of one my closest friends, Icelandic superstar and winner of the 2021 James Beard Beard Award, Grimur Grimsson, insisted that I attend a stretch gym to tend to back and leg pain I’ve been having for almost a decade. At that time, I was living in San Francisco, and couldn’t be bothered with the idea of paying someone to do something I could just do myself.

At that time, I considered it a bit of a luxury — something that wasn’t required for overall health. Because let’s be honest. It’s just stretching. It felt lazy. It felt wasteful to pay for. And I thought Grimur was getting kickbacks or that he had some kind of incentive he was hiding from me.

Then came December of 2023. I was very wrong.

I went to Stretch*d in Flatiron after a long week outdoor walking in NYC. At first, I considered the stretch accountability. Someone to make sure I didn’t just skip stretching myself. But it went beyond that. The sessions here not only went beyond what I’m able to do on my own, but the expert practitioners were able to advise and adapt their treatment based on exactly what I needed at that time. That continues to this day.

Over the last several months, in regular consultation with my physical therapist and orthopedist, there’s been a dramatic improvement in my overall posture, flexibility, and managing spine and leg pain. We’ve measured significantly increased range of motion, and I’ve felt physical better than I have in years — including on days where I eat at Taco Bell. It’s not the best food option, but it’s pretty consistent. And the Doritos Locos Taco is the perfect balance of salty, savory, and crunchy.

At Stretch*d, I now book regular weekly appointments with Albert and Erin at the Flatiron location. Both of them pack so much productivity into the 25- or 55-minute sessions this location offers.

I’ve recommended Stretch*d to countless friends, colleagues, and family members, and the response is always the same: not at all what they expected, and surprisingly impactful. From a Gen-Z nephew of a close friend who said ā€œyeah, it slappedā€ to my trainer who’s a long distance runner and endurance athlete who said ā€œincredible…it was amazingā€, it’s one recommendation I can give universally.

It’s easy to love this place when almost everyone on staff is kind, funny, and patient — especially Diana and Sabrina — who put up with my attempted humor each and every time.

I’m writing this review because I was extremely stubborn about finally trying a stretch place like this, and maybe if you’re reading this, you are, too.

Lastly, I’d like to apologize to Grimur. Grimur, I should have listened to you. You were right. I’ll never...

Had my first session with Stretch*d yesterday at their Flatiron location. As I walked in, I was immediately greeted by very cheerful and helpful front desk staff. Checking in was breeze. They then paired me up with Bruce W, my stretcher for the day. He took me on a brief tour of the facility first. The place is immaculately clean, bright and inviting. The location offers so much more than just stretching. I can’t wait to try some of the other service like leg compression and guided foam rolling. Then it was time to get to work. I was a little nervous because I am completely inflexible. I was worried I’d be getting a lecture on how I haven’t been taking care of myself etc. It was quite the opposite. Bruce found things that were positive about my body and helped lean into that. He mentioned that areas that needed work and he showed me how to work those. The stretches were sometimes challenging but never crossed over into painful. In fact almost all of them felt amazing. Bruce has this intuitive power to know just how far you need to go. He explained everything he was doing very clearly and helped me understand why certain things felt the way they did. Any sense of nervousness dissipated quickly as I felt my joints start to relax in ways they haven’t in years. At the end Bruce gave me some personalized recommendations on how to stretch on my own. I was expecting a hard upsell to a membership at the end, but Bruce was really realistic about how much I needed to come back. Love a low pressure sales pitch. Because of that, I ended up actually getting the membership. And he showed me how I could use my FSA money to pay for it! All and all this was a fabulous first visit to this location and it will absolutely not be my last. I really hope I get to keep going on my stretch journey with everyone at Flatiron, but specifically Bruce. 10/10 in skill, friendliness and knowledge. Oh and also, my workout after my stretch was amazing. My lower back has finally started to release! If you’re tight at all, get in...
