Edit: I have amended my review to 5 stars, I believe that is the predominant concern. Please let me know if any of the points below are untrue and I will make further amendments.
I recently purchased a pair of Women’s Crown boots for my wife, hoping they would be a good fit. Having followed Thursday Boots for years and considered purchasing several items (like the Logger boots, sneakers, and dress shoes), I finally decided to take the plunge. Unfortunately, I regretted the decision shortly thereafter.
The boots arrived with mediocre quality—specifically, the zipper was binding straight out of the box, which was disappointing. While the brand offers two leg size options, I chose the larger size, assuming it would be easier to adjust down if necessary. I was further encouraged by the promise of "free shipping to Canada and easy returns," which I mistakenly interpreted as "free returns"—an error on my part.
When my wife tried the boots on, the fit wasn’t right, and the overall finish did not meet expectations. I initiated a return, only to discover that the cost to return them was $50.48 CAD. Effectively, I paid $50 just for my wife to try on the boots.
While I appreciate the professionalism and helpfulness of the customer support team (which is the only reason I did not rate this product lower), the company's marketing claims and policies are disappointing. For example, they suggest their boots would retail for 4-5 times their price in traditional retail settings, yet even at their price point, the quality falls short of competitors like Nick’s, White’s, and Red Wing—brands that are handmade in America and still cost significantly less.
The brand’s decision to manufacture in lower-cost countries (Mexico, Portugal, etc.) while maintaining such high price points and not offering free returns is frustrating, especially when customers cannot try the footwear on before purchasing. Comfortable footwear is essential, and placing the financial burden of returns on the customer creates a negative experience.
While I initially planned to purchase more items from Thursday Boots, this experience has made it clear that will not happen. I cannot recommend their products to others at this time. These boots might be worth $150 CAD at best, but they do not justify the $373.50 CAD price tag or the...

With that said. Let me tell you about my experience with Thursday Boots Co.
I had been doing some research (watching YouTube) for the last few months, trying to buy a good pair of boots that would not break my wallet. Long story short, my research (watching YouTube videos) 👉 pointed me towards Thursday Boots.
Talk about outta luck and out of town (I'm from outta town) The one and ONLY Thursday Boots store is in NYC (wrong side of the planet for me)
Great fortune for me that in 2023, we have something called airplanes.
So, I finally make my way to Thursday Boots. You know....the address that is found on Google maps. Only to say out loud in public. "Where the F
Read moreTL;DR - Customer Service was better than expected, the store was very cool, and the quality of the boots I can’t say enough about. I have spent double on boots that aren’t as well built and comfortable.
Now if you read long winded reviews like i do…
I have been looking at Thursday boots for many years, and never pulled the trigger on them…. I have tried countless other brands of boots over the years, and while in NY I decided to stop by and check them out in person. Overall, my experience was nothing like I expected.
I looked online, checked out reviews and read comments about Thursday and one thing I noticed is that they actually listen and pay attention to their customers and reviews and they don’t hide behind the keyboard. For example, a reviewer made the suggestion to put a sign out front of their store because they found it hard to find…. When I walked up, they had a sign on the street which made it easier for me to find 🤣
The store was awesome, and the customer service was top notch. I am a very popular size (men’s 11.5) and they still had 90% of what i wanted to try on and purchase. They only didn’t have one pair of sneakers which was surprising for a store in Manhattan. The employees explained how the shoe sizes may vary because their boots run a half size bigger. When I see that online i don’t usually believe it and order my true size but that’s not the case here and I’m glad i listened to that. (I don’t see this mentioned much in reviews and I wish that I did.. that way It wasn’t just a company message.)
I purchased a pair of Matte Black Captains and was so excited to put them on. I spent a day in the city with brand new leather boots on where we easily walked over 8 miles. Now I am not sure if this was my best idea and while my feet are a little sore from breaking them in, but when I put them on this morning they feel great.
Thursday has earned a customer for life and I literally ordered shoe trees and socks before I got home.
From an overly picky...
