Best Italian Pizza — Restaurant in New York

RACIST - in a community that will take your money but outright discriminate against you.

I ate out of this shop many of years but today my son 13 yrs old felt the racism 1st hand in a store he spends his money but when he need help was turned away.

My son was in distress and was with another student that told him :oh they allow me to use their phone when I ask them: so both students went inside and my son asked if he could use the phn to call his mother and the person behind the counter leaned over put his chin on his arms, looked him up and down and stared into his eyes and said NO.

Both Students walked out and spoke of the incident to one another - my son said to his class mate - "you know what that was about." Her response was - :yeah I know I felt it.: Two 8th graders - uniformed with back pack loaded with school books obviously students who spend their little penny's in a Pizza store often now see how it's not worth doing business with people that can look you in your eye and turn you away for what my son felt was the color of his skin.

Well I then go into the shop to address the issue tonight and the two workers act like they don't speak English therefore I ask my friend to translate and ask when will the owner be here and they say "no he don't come here" - so it's obvious these Mexicans are running this shop into the hole with discrimination and lies.

My son knows not to come into this shop ever again and now he can always write about how he felt his first whelm of discrimination in his own community he goes...

Racist pizza place! I order two pizza and he told me it will take 10 minutes I waited. Went to another store came back asked is the pizza ready no......stood there an extra 5 mins then he told me how my order was and when I asked him was there pizza pies ready he said no not until you pay.... Basically he would make my food until I paid but left me standing there looking stupid when he could have told me that to begin with waste of time never again. Tonight was the second time this has happen to...

This is a Bronx STAPLE and honestly, my favorite pizzeria. Put it this way, this place has been around for over 50 years and 99% of the people that have ever eaten there could not tell you it's name, yet, EVERYONE knows the place itself. i would say it deserves a spot on any all time classic NYC pizza list because of it's quality and longevity.

Tourists, go check it out. It gives you a reason to go north of 125th on the 2 or 5 trains and see part of...
