I have been a frequent customer of Burlington for many years in different locations: Bronx, Queens and Manhattan. The lines to pay have always been long, but from last year until now, what this chain of stores does is a true lack of respect for the customer. Literally 2 registers working, no matter the day, time or location of the store. The average minimum wait time is 60 minutes, usually 1 hour and a half, but today it reached the record of 3 hours, yes, 3 hours!!!. I took the time to time it even though I started 30 minutes after I had started waiting in line. Security personnel throughout the store to prevent theft and only 2 cashiers... Not to mention requesting to speak to the manager because they either don't respond directly or if they do, it's to yell at the customer as if we were demanding to be treated with respect as people and customers, it would be a sin... The location of the store I'm referring to today is 3rd Ave and 149th St in the Bronx. I hope they do something to fix this.

"Zero stars for this Burlington Coat Factory location. I was appalled to see a rat scurrying up the entrance escalators as I walked in. It seemed completely at ease, like it knew the route by heart. This is unacceptable for any retail store, let alone one that's supposed to sell clean clothing and home goods. The lack of attention to pest control is alarming, and I wouldn't dare shop here until they seriously address this issue. Immediate action is needed to ensure the store is rodent-free and safe for customers."

I cam during the morning and i have never seen cashiers act more casually on the job. It took 15 minutes tor 2 cashiers to checkout 8 ppl each with 5 items or less. I was watching the girls talk to eachother and work in slow motion. Really unorganized. Update: after trying to put on the item i purchased (which was a pair of pants) I was cut by the needle of an alarm that was left on due to the negligence of the cashier attending me.

09/20/2024 went to Burlington to get my daughter some stuff to take back up to college while there I noticed lots of workers on the floor just on their phones between the clothing isles just chatting get to the line its almost to the escalators I waited in the line for 45 to 50 mins. at your store while waiting kids and an elderly lady wanted to use the bathroom your bathroom was locked after punishing in line the cashier no. 8 register fair skinned young lady with long red dyed hair I asked her why is the bathroom locked she told me there is no one to clean it or something she mumbled beneath her breath very rude apparently she didn't like being pulled from the floor doing nothing to cash customers then she continued with another employee with blonde dyed hair about customers using nasty comments still hearing her then I told her don't say things like that she got angry and stated to me carry back your shopping cart!! the other employee also shouted at my daughter to take the shopping cart back while walking behind us saying insults. if this is the service you bring to the Bronx? please . WHY NOT BRING ALL THE REGISTERS FROM THE UPPER FLOOR TO THE IST FLOOR AND HAVE TWO ROWS OF CASHIERS 8 ON EITHER SIDES OF THE STORE ON THAT FLOOR SO CUSTOMERS WHO SHOP THERE THAT MAKE YOU AND YOUR DISRESPECTFUL EMPLOYEES THE MONEY FOR THEIR SALARY AND YOUR BUSINESS TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS WITH MORE REPECT AND COURTESY BUT THOSE 2 EMPLOYEES RESPECT SEMINARS. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT LINE OF SERVICE BY THE WAY I WORK WITH NYSDOE. A TAX PAYER WHO WORKS HARD AND WOULD LIKE TO SHOP WHERE I PLEASE IN COMFORT AND SAFETY WITH OUT BEING INSULTED AND RIDICULED IMAGINE FURTHER DOWN INTO THE HOLIDAY RUSH I.!!!!!!!!!! SOMEONE IS ALWAYS WATCHING MR. BURLINGTON!!!...

The burlington in my neighborhood has the best deals ever, I was just browsing through the store and found lots of good things to buy at reasonable prices. Since I wasn't ready, I certainly will visit to purchase some new additions for my wardrobe when I travel on my cruise this coming October. I recommend this store to those looking for great deals on quality merchandise. I feel lucky to have such a great store in my neighborhood ☺

November 15th 2024, it has been 6 years since my original post, the service sucks. I decided to update my review to post my discontent VIEWS about the service expected from Burlington. Customers in this neighborhood have had to wait 30-40 minutes on line to the register. This neighborhood is very busy and the store is great for us, however Burlington must improve the service rendered to us, the customers who frequent the store are the backbone of the success of this Burlington location. Show us RESPECT, time is precious, if buying at Burlington takes MOST of the time we have for shopping, it's unfair because for sure this doesn't happen in whiter neighborhoods.. please adjust your operation to suit our NEEDS to shop and get out quickly to attend to...
