I found The One Bridal Boutique because they carried a brand that I was looking at online. I used to live in NYC but moved away in recent years, and I was planning a visit so I made an appointment through their website. It was $40 to hold the appointment, not counted towards a purchase. They even followed up before confirming the appointment via email, which I appreciated. It was free for my 2 friends who came to help me pick out my dress. The boutique was a little hard to find, but located in a building in Industry City in Brooklyn, an area I was familiar with and looked forwarded to hanging out afterwards. Once we were in, a consultant sat us down, got to learn about what I was looking for (elegant, simple, effortless, recyclable), and walked us through how the showroom was organized. It’s a single room of dresses from many designers next to a sample size only rack, and another room to try dresses on and where the tailor is. The boutique is very quaint and exactly the type of place I would love to get my wedding dress from (over some mass retailer or massive showrooms in Manhattan, or anything with fewer options). I found my dress right away and they ordered it for me, inspected it for me, and then had it shipped to my home. They continued to help me research for a local tailor (for months!) even after my dress arrived (in great condition). While over all, I paid a little more than if I had just ordered online myself with a discount code I had, it was well worth it to go through them to try the dress on, support a small business, work with real people, and for the research that they have put in on my behalf. Thank you for helping me find the perfect wedding dress and for making the experience a pleasant one...
Read moreI had the most stressful wedding dress shopping experience before finding the One Bridal. I planned my wedding in a 7 month timeframe and what I did not realize is how FAR in advance wedding dresses needed to be ordered. I searched all over NYC for a gown, and felt so pressured by the "deadline" that I ended up purchasing a dress I just didn't love (but liked). I had 7 days to return the dress I had ordered, and I decided I would try and look ONE more time. I showed up to Sue's boutique so anxious because I knew this was my last shot I had at finding a dress. Let me just say: I am so glad she graciously scheduled me in and that I went to this appointment. Sue immediately put me at ease. We tried on 3 dresses total and when she clipped me into the last dress (a Kyha piece from several seasons ago) and I truly had that "OMG. THIS IS THE ONE" moment that you see in movies. The entire time searching for dresses I was just NOT feeling it and I actually gave up on the idea that I would find a dress that could make me feel that way. I left that appointment feeling so giddy, knowing I found my dress and I could return the other dress that I anxiously settled for.
Sue's store has a such a well curated selection of dresses. She has amazing taste that will appeal to the "cool girl, modern, fashion girlies" with style. I purchased all of my accessories here (veil, tulle gloves) as well because she just has a great eye and I didn't need to look any further. Loved coming to this boutique for my follow-up appointments and the dress was tailored to perfection. I cannot wait to wear this in one week. Thank you Sue!!!! She is an angel. The only negative is that I don't have any excuses to come back here once my...
Read moreHonestly, I cannot thank Sue enough for the absolute amazing service and help she has provided. Without her I would be without a wedding dress 3 weeks out of my wedding date.
First off, the studio is perfectly intimate and has the most amazing light in the afternoon (highly recommend trying your dress then). Sue is extremely personable, kind and consultative in her approach in helping you try on dresses and find the right one. She will actually provide helpful advice (if you want it) but at the same time does not force her opinion or push you in anyway.
I went to almost every bridal studio in manhattan from the big ones to smaller boutiques and can hand on my heart say The One Bridal was the best experience of them all AND she selects the best designers for a trunk show. The designers she holds are contemporary and modern whilst still being romantic bridal ware.
Not only is Sue amazing during the time that you are deciding and trying dresses but she also cares deeply after you've purchased. I had to bring forward my wedding by almost 8 months, and we had 8 weeks to secure my dress (and it hadn't gone into production yet). She went above and beyond working with the designers to make sure it got to me and even made sure to pass on a promotional discount they were offering at the time (which she did not have to do at all).
All in all, I have had THE best service getting my dress through The One and would recommend this boutique to any and all...
