It's sad because I do love Verizon and it's always been a great company for me. It doesn't mean though that at every location the staff will give the same customer service. I'm not one to write reviews (especially negative ones) but if a service is quite bad and had to go to a different verizon store where service was amazing I feel the need to notify. I must give this location based off a certain employee, a 2 star rating. It would have been one if not for the fact that the employee mentioned the hours I could come back if needed.
I went to see my options and get an opinion or directed in which way I could go with my phone. After I was told my options I simply asked what to do, and what would you do (as an opinion employee) and the following response was "I can't answer that, it's up to you. You are an adult and have to make your own decisions."
I totally understand the first part, Yes it was my decision not hers and yes I should make up my mind, but the point of being in customer service is to help 'guide' and 'direct' your client. I am not a difficult person and I simply asked for an opinion. I am in the customer service field and have been serving clients for 8 years and we all have our off days, but I would never have made the second remark to anyone. I found the last statement to be completely unrelated in the matter and I politely said ok thanks and walked out.
Proceeded to the Verizon in Soho and the employee answered my questions, gave me a different option completely not even mentioned at the last location, and I walked out completely happy with money saved in my pocket, a new phone and that employee will be getting an outstanding review!
Customer service people, step your game up and get employees who are willing to go the extra mile so they don't lose a customer and lose positive feedback from others. Verizon is still a great company and I am happy to be with them... I would just stay clear of the Atlantic Mall location because you can't get the...
Read moreIf I could give this store any lower than one star I would, because they are liars and racially profiled me when I went to pick up my order. To start, I placed an order for an iPhone 15 pro max 512(because I have a 256gb iPhone 12 pro max) and requested in store pick up. I called the store before I even placed the order to make sure, I'm in and out as soon as possible. When i arrived at the location requested, the manager informed me that they did not have the phone, even when I confirmed earlier that they did. After a long hold time with order support, they too confirmed that the device i paid for was indeed in stock, and when i returned again, the manager insisted that they did not have the phone even when order support confirmed. I was then instructed to cancel my order and re-order the same device, but have it shipped to my home address, but surprise surprise, I can't because I have to wait for my original order to cancel for another to be placed. The following day i contacted sales support so that I can place the order and the representative contacted the store and also confirmed again that they indeed had the phone in stock, which makes this the second confirmation that was given to me by a Verizon employee. Now I've worked in mobile retail stores, such as optimum, T-mobile and sprint, and i can tell when someone thinks the person, they're selling to is a scammer. I'm trading in my phone, porting my number and i even have a Verizon FiOS account. This is hands down the worst experience I've ever had with any company, especially as new customer. Please, do not visit this store and provide them with your business, as they are liars and will not help you. I hope this helps anyone who is looking to purchase a new phone or business. DO NOT PROVIDE THIS LOCATION WITH...
Read moreReally bad experience at this location. Lazy staff thirsty for sales. Went to trade in my iphone for a new iphone 15. They saw my old phone was in excellent condition and wiped it clean. Said they could give me $830 for my old phone but when they checked, they said they had a glitch in the system and could only offer me $30, so I had to call verizon personally to send it via UPS. I called Verizon and instead of upgrading my phone only, I found out that they charged me for another line to keep the sale, and I was paying for two lines at the same time. Why would I need two different lines? You wiped the one of the phones and turned it off completely. How does a phone company not realize this and charge me for a second phone plan? They also charged me $10 a month for an international travel pass on the new plan that I didn't ask for. Incompetence at its finest. In addition, they charged me $60 for a screen protector and and another $38 I believe for putting it on. They didn't use any tools. I got home and had air bubble all in my screen. I get it done professionally so I don't have these issues. I went back during one of my visits and do you think they replaced the screen I paid for? No, they took off the exact one they applied wrong in the first place and applied it wrong the second time acting like it was fixed, and of course I still have air bubbles on my new iphone 15. Strange.. Really wanted better from this establishment. I will not be returning here and handling everything else on the verizon app and on the phone with their support team -- even plans and...
