Wow, what an experience! First off, let me just say that the amount of help you can find at this place was phenomenal! I had at least more than five woman help me in total at all locations of the store! I mean they helped me with my size, finding matching pairs and getting my angel card. That’s some serious customer service that I have never experienced anywhere else. If they trained more people to be like this at other retail and even restaurants, then people would be more happy. The place is clean and spacious and absolutely every employee, with the exception of one guy (because he wasn’t really helpful), was completely helpful. Every woman there is so knowledgeable. I have to applaud this one girl, I wish I could give her a shout out but her name was difficult for me to remember, Spanish girl, who did not give up on finding the bra that I fell in love with. I was so grateful to her. Store is full of heroes. As soon as you enter you are greeted immediately! When you’re leaving they are attentive in wishing you a great day. Money well spent. Yes, it’s pricey but with the amount of people waiting on you, hand and foot, I left feeling good. I put on weight for my pregnancy (and I’m almost 200lbs) and was still catered to. I was scared they wouldn’t even have my size but they have sizes all the way up to triple D! There are virtually no long wait to pay. The quality of the bras are beautiful and soft and comfortable. I recommend in asking whoever is helping, what their recommendations are in comfortable bras. The quality of the material is worth it and there was this one bra that I just couldn’t get over because of the design. They have shopping bags offered to you so you can shop without everything falling out of your hands. There are smells from samples by the register that were a little hard to refuse and ignore. Read moreI was excited to visit this store recently, on my first ever trip to NYC, to get a new bra for a special occasion. I specified very clearly what I was looking for and was only shown bras that did not fit my criteria. I 'got measured' and straight away knew it wasn't the correct measurement. As a woman with a larger cup size, I do know what size I wear. The member of staff was rude when I said I didn't think the measurement was correct.
I did try on bras but as they were not what I had asked for (no padding, racer style back option, black, larger cup size) I was not pleased with the service. The fitter* in the dressing room was much nicer than my first point of contact. The girl that did my measurement on the shop floor came to see how things were going. I still knew the back size was too large and I asked for a full cup but was only given plunge cups to try on. There was a rude comment about 'she can't go any smaller in the back size' although the bra was clearly not a good fit.
In summary, this was a disappointmenting experience and the first member of staff I spoke to became rude and disrespectful. I feel vulnerable when purchasing bras and this has made me feel worse about it. I left without making a purchase.
A side note to add is that we also visited to go to the champagne bar which was meant to open at 11am. It was not open so we asked a member of staff who said someone would be there soon. We returned 40 minutes later and there was still no one there and no other staff could help us or give any information on when the bar would be open.
Unhelpful, rude, disrespectful staff. Go elsewhere if you're looking for underwear.
