Have shown up multiple times during business hours and it seems like nobody is ever around. Did manage to get inside once it was just after lunch break and it was pouring raining outside and we were standing outside with another couple as the man watched us from inside the store standing at the counter and didn’t open. We tapped on the window to let us in because it was pouring and he opened the door to greet us with an attitude then proceeded to ask us if we had a mask. We’re now standing there soaked from the rain and told him we didn’t have an any so he just scoffs and walks away as I didn’t know it we had to wear a mask in store. Me and the other couple ask him to provide us with them and he’s just over there making weird sounds like we’re disturbing him. Idk what happened to this store I used to visit frequently when you were across the street and everyone was so nice and welcoming and really wanted to hear about what you were doing when it came to the hobby. The customer service has plummeted as it seems nobody can be bothered in this store. Such a shame as it used to be a place where people gathered to talk and have a good time and now it’s a ghost town, I...
Read moreI was perfectly polite and civil on the store Facebook page when expressing some mild criticism of the consistent lack of adherence to posted business hours of this store. After making a couple of absolutely reasonable comments about this issue, I was promptly BLOCKED. You might be able to silence criticism on Facebook, but you don’t have that power on Google Reviews. This wouldn’t be a 1-star rating if I hadn’t been blocked by the store manager or whomever controls their Facebook page. But that callous action really left a sour taste in my mouth. Just take a look at these other reviews. If you take your time to go down there, there is a high probability that you will be met with the absolute middle finger of a locked door during normal posted business hours. It shouldn’t be on the customer to need to check the Facebook for updates before coming in. This is honestly so embarrassing for Games Workshop and the Warhammer brand. If was an executive, I would have taken some kind of action YEARS AGO. Guess they don’t care? If you’re in NYC there are better places to play on the tabletop, and MUCH better places...
Read moreI was in town for work and saw there was a Warhammer shop in town and had to check it out (closest one to me back home is an hour away... This was only 8 minutes from the office).
What an awesome shop! The gentleman running the show was friendly, knowledgeable, and super willing to answer any and all questions I threw at him (just getting back into it after 25 years)... All while he was helping about five other people at the same time. Couldn't have asked for a better experience
Anyway, I'll be going back everytime I'm in town. Whether I need something or not, I'll pop in to pick something up to support the business. It's hard to find stores like this with shop owners this good. If you're into tabletop gaming, definitely stop by and...
