I have to say I was very apprehensive to join any NY Gun Range since two years ago before the pandemic I was waiting for my target permit but wanted to learn safe gun handling. I went to various NJ gun ranges and found my favorite in NJ called Gun For Hire since my Godson doesn’t have his pistol license I went there to practice became spoiled at modern gun range also I go to Canada and use one of there modern range and a vast rental handgun selection. I joined your range met John and Owner Darren both was wonderful made me fell at home so I found a home , don’t be fooled by old school gun range extremely safe patrons keep range clean and they have knowledgeable personnel. I’m looking forward to my next range trip. This is was my first time at a shooting range, near a rifle, and handling bullets. However, this is what my friend wanted to do this for her birthday and I hate passing up on birthday celebrations. Our large group (of 8) arrived early and were quickly checked into the class. The instructor was Ray and he was great! It also helped that he was a very funny Filipino man cracking jokes with us as we had several Filipinos in our class. Overall, the instructions were clear, easy and with lots of hands-on practice before hitting the shooting range. I felt comfortable after my first round of 1 bullets. As long as one avoids the hot shells shooting out of the rifle after each shot, you're good. Luckily, I was only hit by a couple of hot shells. I did not know what to expect when I first decided to go to a gun range. You entered the building and you go down this small staircase and get to a very old school looking business door. I was a little afraid before entering thank God a few of my girlfriends got there first so when I did enter they were sitting comfortably on the couch. They try to make you feel very relaxed as you walk in on the counter there are donuts, some drinks and some other food items in it goes well with the rest of the decor which is very homey feeling.
