I was so sad when the Flatiron location closed, and discovered they still have one in Brooklyn! (I've also been in London/very out of the loop for the past few years, but who hasnt?!) Anyway - placed an online order to pick up in the BK store 2 days before Thanksgiving because I am wildly unprepared. I was thrilled with every part of my experience! The store was literally crawling (as to be expected) but everyone was so nice and helpful. 0 of the 10+ items I ordered were out of stock (I assumed at least a few would be when I got there!), they called me right away when it was ready, and a really nice woman double checked my order//went through each line item way more carefully than I would have the day before Thanksgiving! They were super efficient and friendly and the prices are good. They're on par or in some cases even a little less than most online stores, and I'll happily keep coming back. Thanks Whisk for making my Thanksgiving prep a little...
Read moreWhisk is such a treasure to have in this neighborhood! It has the best selection of kitchen supplies I've ever seen in one store, better than the national chains especially. On top of the extensive selection, the prices are very fair and reasonable (check the great website to compare). I have to admit that when I first moved to area I assumed this store wasn't for me because it looks very fancy and expensive from the outside. I'm glad I finally went inside, because it's become my favorite place in the whole neighborhood!
The staff is also wonderful and knowledgeable, they stand by their products and seem to do lots of research to insure they're only selling the best stuff. It makes it shopping there a total pleasure, because you feel like the staff are on your side and trying to help you get the best tools for your kitchen.
I highly recommend Whisk, it's become my go to place to buy anything...
Read moreBaking is one of my favorite hobbies, and over the years, I've undergone a search for the perfect mixing bowl. I don't like metal - can't stick it in the microwave. Ceramic scratches and looks ugly after you use a metal egg-beater a few times. Every plastic bowl I've tried is too soft - the metal egg-beater starts to pull off tiny pieces of plastic after only a few uses - can't have that in my cake! My goal ultimately became to find a large, sturdy glass mixing bowl. Pyrex would have been my dream, but they don't make anything larger than 4.5 quarts - too small. Whisk was the ONLY store I could find online that carried a 6 quart Duralex tempered glass mixing bowl - even Amazon didn't have it! It was a reasonable price, came in perfect condition, and shipped all the way to Texas much sooner than I expected! Thank you for stocking...
