Love Hot On Yoga! The staff is really welcoming and super supportive! When I arrive don my first day I was welcomed with smiles and tips from all the staff on site. The class is challenging every time I go! The people that attend are super nice and no judgments. The studio provides a mat and towel rental if you need for a small price. They also sell water and coconut water if you need to hydrate! I would totally recommend going even if it’s to try it for the first week of unlimited classes for $18 you can’t beat that! I’m currently doing the 20 classes in 30 days challenge and loving the impact it’s having on my life! Enjoy!

I live downtown but travel here for so many reasons. Such a beautiful welcoming space, a kind and knowledgeable staff and on top of that extremely affordable. I highly recommend and am very grateful to have found a place that feels like home.

I've done hot yoga before but this was my first time at Yoga to the people. The teacher (who was also the only staff person there) was friendly but breezed through the studio introduction (much in the same way she breezed through the class), and I was left feeling a little bewildered (by both).

First, the locker room. Apparently, the regulars don't use the locker room(?). Likely because you're basically getting naked on the other side of a sheet with the possibility of someone pulling back the curtain at any moment (a sheet being the only door to the shared locker space).

The class was interesting and I did ok in the heat. I should preface this by saying I am most familiar with traditional yogas (vinyasa mostly) so this class threw me for a loop. They say that it's for all levels but the teacher blew threw the class like a drill instructor, spouting off orders without pause. And for a yoga style that seems to have been invented recently (or perhaps is just not very common?), this is quite challenging to pick up. Especially since each pose was only held for about 10-15 seconds. By the time I got into a sort of kind of version of what the people in the front of the class were doing we were told to snap out of the pose. It was disorienting.

The most striking thing about this class, to me anyway, was the dehydration issue. I don't know if this was her intention, but she made it seem like we weren't supposed to "take a sip" of water until she said so, 20 minutes into the class? This was the only time in a 60 minute class that she told us to drink anything and by the end I was literally seeing spots. I took a few gulps of water and felt like I was breaking to rules. Although this could very well have been in my head! Maybe I just misread the situation. A little more info would have been appreciated though. Especially considering how dangerous this can be.

To sum it up, this place seems like a good place if you're a regular and know their poses well. Otherwise, be prepared for a steep...

I came to this location thinking it was part of yoga to the people, the lady at the front desk (who ended up being the instructor) was very sassy in clearing up that they weren’t affiliated. She then explained how I would be charged for the class after it’s done. She asked if I wanted to rent anything, I responded yes a mat. She provided me with the mat and a towel which I didn’t ask for (but later got charged $2 for). The class overall wasn’t too bad but I’m sure I would enjoyed it more had the instructor not decided to clap so much 🤦🏻‍♀️. A girl past out in the class , so the class stopped for about ten minutes which was understandable. During that time I decide to grab my belonging and leave because I want enjoying the class. The instructor was very snotty asking me why I was leaving and quickly told her cold worker “make sure she doesn’t leave without paying” as if I had those intentions. I felt very awkward. It’s the first and last time I attend the place, I definitely won’t recommend anyone there, but I will recommend everyone to yogatothepeople in 38th street. I’ve never had a problem with them and their so pleasant. Stay away from this place guys! It will...

Where do I begin.... the class was just okay. Nothing groundbreaking and the instructor was a little sassy for my taste. The manager at the front desk was pushy trying to have me and my cousin sign up for a package when we said no several times. The instructor handed us towels during the class without letting us know of the charge so he told us he wouldn’t charge us. After the manager found out we weren’t buying a package he went back and forth with the instructor insisting we pay the fee. The snooty girl at the front desk made a disgusted face and stared at the money when we handed her 15 from both of us thinking this was donation based because some of the other locations are. anyway I ended up getting overcharged by 2$ because they thought I used their mat when I brought my own. We were in such a hurry to leave because they made it super awkward and uncomfortable to check out. Not a zen experience, save your coins and...
