My daughter was enrolled at the UCLA and we also had a birthday party for her at the same location as her classes and I would like to add that the staff members and the chef were excellent instructors and they were also phenomenal mentors for the children enrolled at the academy my daughter was given a binder like all of the enrolled students and after each session they were given the exact recipes that they were working on during that days class by the end of their cycle their binders are filled with the recipes that they used to achieve their chef coats no matter how long it took them because I have suffered a severe brain aneurysm and stroke I don't recall the length of the program to attain a chef coat and I was never worried about the cost of the program since my theory has always been that you get what you pay for and if you want a cheaper rate expect cheaper services than what you can expect from a star academy treatment because you are going through a Michelin rated establishment in my eyes these people are top notch and have created professionally out of our children we trust in their care for a few hours a week ,I would definitely rate their service and business stars and plus more if I had the option to thank you yca for teaching my daughter the finer things about the workings of a kitchen and what it takes to be a lover of cooking like myself she has done me much better by becoming a much better Baker than I have ever been in my experience and she has made a tod for corn souffle not to be confused with cornbread how dare you say that ITS cornbread coming from the column university student and graduate of yca of forest hills queens. Last name is roĂĄn. Thank you so much for the love and hard work and effort you put in to your skill set and to each of your students ot is a reflection of your character and I think it shows how you shine in the grayestof days before the sun breaks through the clouds your rays of sunshine keep us in the light and warm from the meekness of the gray days. Godspeed to you all at yca love you all as well part of my family and our hearts for ev in JESUS name I PRAY AMEN hallelujah to you all GLORY be to God in...
Read moreMy daughter took âsecret ingredientâ Mexico food workshop last Saturday and had a wonderful time there. I am very impressed by the ownerâs attention to details and instructorâs professionalism. The place is brand new, very clean with all the health protocols in place.
The class is designed and delivered specifically tailored to kids skill level, but still using âseriousâ full-bloom recipes. My 12 year old daughter made three veggie dishes and chocolate quinoa cupcake with two other team members, everyone got plenty hands-on opportunities to measure, chop, mix, and bake; and most importantly she also learned to work within a team, to articulate problems and ask questions to instructor. I definitely think the skills developed in the course are beyond just cooking.
I like the fact this is childrenâs cooking school without childishness. My kid learned to appreciate food, people, and culture. During COVID period, itâs hard to find good kids program to engage kids and let them break from screen time, I am glad I...
