Zumiez — Local services in New York

Rude, unhelpful and they lied about their return policy. I purchased a pair for wheels on Monday that I realized when I got home did not fit. When I came back the next day to return them the manager a male named Ira or Ian told me they don’t take returns on hard items. However the return policy and signage all over the store doesn’t state that. Just that I need the receipt and original packaging which I had. He got an attitude when I asked to show me where in the policy it state that. He refused to show me shrugged his shoulders and said it’s just the policy.

I can’t recommend this location or this company to anyone. I had to call corporate and ship everything back for a refund. Stay away from this location and if you have to go to a Zumiez visit the 34th location. The staff at 14th street was rude and lied about their return policy that clearly stated I had every right to return my wheels. Bad business and horrible customer service from the top down.

I just purchased my Impala roller skates at this location and I'm super excited! Biggest Thank you to the sales person Beyonce omg she was such a huge help. I called and she put them on hold for me. The rush hour traffic caused it to take longer than expected to get to the store all the way from Long island. I was so worried my skates might get sold before I arrived. Got there 20 min before closing and low behold Beyonce followed the rules and still had my skates. She was very patient and assisted us with all of our needs. Even though I overheard another sales person pressuring her to convince me to purchase a different pair so they could give my pair to a walk in customer. Beyonce remained firm in being fair to me allowing me to keep what I already had choosen previously when I placed my skates on hold. I truly appreciate her honesty and fairness it made me happy I journeyed so far and got EXACTLY what I wanted and came for. So I went to Zumiez which were selling a collaboration KORN X Adidas shoes and shirts in select stores. I went to the Broadway location in NYC, which was listed on their website as one of the stores that will have the collaboration. I got there and was told there's NOTHING left, I should have gotten here early... He then also told me that he SOLD LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE KORN X ADIDAS ITEM TO 1 PERSON. I am beyond disappointed in how that can happen. Their website literally says "Limited Quantities, Limit One Pair Per Customer." Re-sellers aren't the only problem, it's places Zumiez who allow it to happen. They are a disgrace to the true fans.
