Eve Beauty Source Union Square — Local services in New York

i’ve been here several times and I was fortunate enough to go when the female owner is there because she is super helpful and one of the most charming proprietors however, she needs to hire a different female helper. I am an older woman over 70 years old and I stop by here to purchase wig/beauty stuff whenever I go to the theater. I was in the store last night Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 6:15 PM and I wanted to find a wig grip and eyelashes. The Asian female cashier/sales person was asked by me where could I find the wig grips? She was not with a customer, not ringing anyone up, just standing around watching people but did she make any attempt to help me? NOPE. All she did point down the aisle. But when I couldn’t find it, I had to walk back-and-forth to locate her which I finally did. She was still not with any customer. I inform her that I am still unable to locate the wig grip item and she gives me a basket for my stuff. Then I accidentally drop a couple of my items on the floor. I hesitated to stoop down to pick the items up because I’m quite elderly, she, at least 40 years younger than I just simply stood there watching me struggle to stoop and pick up the items on the floor. She made no move to help me pick up the items. Can you imagine? I think this was very rude. Mind you, I continued to search the store for the wig grip. After several tries, which I became quite frustrated another much nicer Latina woman whom also works there actually escorted me over to where the wig grips were located and helped me find the specific item in the nude color I needed. I had called the store looking for a specific semipermanent hair color that you are not able to find in many beauty supply stores and they were able to confirm that they had it. So, I went to purchase the hair color boxes and i find another brand that my hair colorist had used to. And so I took a long time on the phone with a family member discussing to make sure that I purchased the best one. As I was about to checkout at the cash register I remember I need another product (edge control) and asked the staff that was ringing me up if they had that product. She was very helpful and explained to me what aisle I can find it in. So I told her feel free to ring someone else as I went to find the product. I was able to find my favorite edge control and saw that they had a large selection of the edge control brand I love. I started searching online reviews to see which one I should get. I took a long while in the aisle because I had terrible cell service to decide which one I wanted. While I was in the aisle one of the staff members walked over to where I was located looking at the products a few times. To the point that I felt very uncomfortable and started thinking that I was being racially profiled.
