Isnât this the cutest Italian bakery? Unregular Bakery has gone viral because of their recently launched coffee/matcha based lattinis. The mini croissants/bomboloni on sticks stole my heart, and remind me of Nudake (the croissant-themed bakery) in Seoul.
To my surprise, their baked goods arenât as sweet as I imagined. I typically donât order bomboloni as Iâve had overly sugary ones before. Give this a shot, itâs the most unsweetened bombolone Iâve tried.
ďźStrawberry Cheesecake Bombolone Almost everyone I saw in store ordered this #1 bestselling strawberry cheesecake bombolone, and this is easily our fav item. The dough is soft and fluffy. It has the right amount of granulated sugar sprinkled on the outer. I really like the strawberry cream cheese filling as itâs not as sweet as strawberry jam.
ďźBurracroissant It is a spiral croissant piped with creamy basil and burrata filling. You can tell itâs freshly baked as the croissant is really flaky. A good savory pastry to start with before enjoying the sweets.
ďźEspresso Croissant This one is generously stuffed with espresso-flavored custard cream. Every bite is filled with sweet and bitter aroma.
ďźOrange Almond Croissant From the cross section, we can see itâs well laminated. The frangipane has a slight hint of orange-y flavor. The croissant becomes flakier after reheating.
ďźStrawberry Rose Lattini, Blue Matcha Lattini These lattinis are 100% insta-worthy with the cute mini croissants/bombolones. The mini croissants are coated with strawberry ganache with a crunchy texture.
Flavor-wise, I could taste rose syrup and lavender syrup from each drink, but matcha was barely noticeable. The drinks definitely look better than they taste as both are on the milkier side. At least they...
Read moreI know the owners are really proud of their creations everytime they do something, i follow them in social media and I know their irregular pizza stores very well and i know them... this one time, like every time, they created a unique and cheerful place with the same color theme from the 90s of their pizzerias and the execution has been, again, lovely. The bakery is big enough to spend a good quality time there even if you need to work. The food is unique, the variety is impressive. They offer bombolone (full-round donut) filled with the weirdest and most succulent things: one is with mangio and chile tajĂn... just heaven, the other i tried was aperol spritz emulsion with white chocolate cream and some aperol caviar on top, so one-of-a-kind...I tried croissants and other pastries because i wanted to bring some home to my family and we were fighting on each of the pieces, hahahaha, because they are so different and unexpected that you really want to try all of them. I want to go for a croissant with their Unregular signature burrata (not sure how they put the burrata inside but we will figure it out) and I heard they do breakfast so i will have some savory bombolone, they have many including salmon, sun-dried tomatos and "everything" croissant) Definitely not possible to go just once since the variety and deliciousness is too wide! No doubt so UNregular, exactly...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Unregular Bakery, where I was pleasantly surprised by their array of inventive and delectable baked goods. After some consideration, I chose three items: a strawberry chocolate cookie, croissant pudding, and an almond orange croissant.
The standout for me was the croissant pudding. Itâs a creative twist on traditional bread pudding, using croissants to achieve a wonderfully custard-like texture. The individual muffin size was perfect, offering a satisfying portion without overindulgence. The flavor was rich and cozy, making it the highlight of my visit.
Next was the strawberry chocolate cookie. This visually appealing treat, partially dipped in milk chocolate, provided a delightful and unique taste. The strawberry infusion in the cookie was a lovely touch, though the chocolate part was a tad too sweet for my taste.
The almond orange croissant was also a delightful find. The blend of traditional almond paste with a hint of orange resulted in a beautifully balanced flavor profile. The almond and orange were perfectly proportioned, ensuring one didn't overshadow the other.
In summary, Unregular Bakery is a gem worth visiting for anyone who appreciates exceptional, creative bakery items. Their dedication to flavor and quality shines through in every product. Highly recommend for an unparalleled...
