Cielo's VIP Salon and Spa — Local services in Newark

I visited Cielo’s VIP Salon & Spa in Newark on Wednesday, 11/27/24, for a keratin treatment, hair color, trim, and manicure/pedicure. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, especially given the $550+ price tag. Hair Color: I left the salon with hair dye visibly on my forehead because they didn’t have the proper product to remove it. Manicure: My cuticles were cut so short that they’ve been painful for days. Pedicure: The same issue occurred with my toenails, and my right big toe now shows signs of infection.

I had to fly on 11/29/24 and endured pulsating pain during my 7-hour flight. Despite trying to manage it with antibiotic cream, the discomfort continues, and I may need medical attention while abroad.

This was my first and last visit to this establishment. For over $500, I expected far better service. In the future, I’ll stick to my Manhattan salon, where I’ve consistently received excellent results at a lower cost.
