Market Street Food Pantry — Local services in Newark

They were really good the last month or so. That's when my family and I began going to their food pantry because we lost our home and my husband lost his job. We have come upon very hard times The Director came out and began asking us questions about us being homeless. She said that they were told to give the one's that say they're homeless one bag of food and dairy. Then she stated there was a rise in people being homeless (she acted like we were we were lying)!!! Of course there is in this economy!!! And it is only going to get worse!!! Even tho we hadn't ate for over a day I turned around and left. I knew she didn't want to give us anything (like it was her food). It's hard enough going to ask for free food and then she acts like that!!! My husband stayed and talked with her minute after I walked away. Then she said there isn't enough food!!! Turning away people that are...
