UPDATE 3/22/22. I recently decided to try them again since I was in the area. This time I went inside and dined in. The burger was better this time around, better tasting, but it was super greasy and the edges of the patty was overcooked and a bit tough. The crinkle fries were ok. The interior was nice as well and was really spacious inside. All in all I think you can get a better burger from Steak N Shake, or Freddy's, which is why I would rank Culver's behind those two, but above Five Guys. I'm changing my rating from a 1 star to a 3, I would've left a 4 star if the entire burger wasn't so greasy and a bit overcooked. I know it's supposed to be a butter burger, but I don't think it's supposed to be that much grease on it, the burger from my original review wasn't even saturated in grease like this. The service was good. I would try them again, to see how their other menu items are.
So this happened yesterday on 8/3/20. I live in LaGrange and my wife went to Newnan to do some shopping. I asked her to to go here and get me a burger because I had never tried Culver's before but I'd heard good things about there burgers. I told my wife to get me the double bacon cheese burger without onions. So 30 miles south later when I get the burger it's not the one I told her to order. I tell this to my wife and she tells me the girl on the mic repeated the order back to her so she couldn't figure out how they got it wrong. She also got herself a burger which was a double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and mayo. And that was the same burger they gave me. So i removed the onions and ate it anyway. The burger itself looked good, it was put together well, but the taste was just bland/average to me, in my opinion it taste similar to a Wendy's burger. And its rare that I eat burgers from Wendy's. The fries were nothing special either because most were hard and overcooked, I ended up giving them to my dog. Don't think I'll be returning to Culver's again. There are far better options...
Read moreWalking into the restaurant, the first thing I noticed that the ledges were covered in dust. As I walked up to the counter to order my food, the young woman never greeted me. She simply stood there while I informed her what I wanted to order. There were several workers behind her just standing there staring at me. As she put my order in, I had to ask if she was ready for me to put my card into the card reader. To be fair, if it was her first time in public at the register; I would understand but it was obvious from my perspective that she just hadn’t been trained properly.
There were three of us in my party so she gave us our cups to get our drinks from the drink fountain. It appeared to be not clean as well as a missing napkin holder with straws strewn on the counter. We traveled exactly 21 miles to this location. There have been issues before with the store but I overlooked it in the past. Once our food was brought to the table, I noticed the onions were missing from my burger. The lettuce was not green and wilted and it tasted like someone dropped the salt shaker on my burger. To say the least, I was disappointed with my decision to visit Culver’s yesterday. I didn’t visit the restroom. My family stated both of them were nasty. The women’s restroom was nasty in the past.
I am reviewing Culver’s because my last experience was okay. The food was better then however,I was expecting a better experience but, I was sorely disappointed on this visit. Management please train your employees to greet customers when they arrive, don’t serve wilted lettuce on the burgers, always have an employee constantly cleaning up and checking the restrooms. Come out and ask the customers if everything was okay. People are not going to stop visiting restaurants or take the time to give an honest opinion about their experience after visiting restaurants. I simply want this location to improve their customer service and provide a clean...
Read moreCulver's originated in Wisconsin. I grew up with it there, well over 20 years ago, and was super excited when this one was built. However, I am very disappointed that they have not remained true to midwestern culture with their standard menu. True butter burgers do not have mayonnaise...we midwesterners think mayonnaise is about the most disgusting thing you could put on any burger, but especially on a butter burger. Then when I very specifically asked for no mayo on my burger, it was instead slathered with extra mayo. What is the point of drive-thru convenience if you then have to park and go into the store for them to fix their mistake. I received no apology for their error. This is not the first time I have had this issue at this location. Additionally, why would any self-respecting Wisconsinite poison perfectly amazing cheese curds with ranch or marinara?? They are not mozzarella sticks! I understand, from a marketing standpoint, that Culver's felt the need to adjust their menu to be culturally appropriate for the south, but why even bother spreading your brand to a new market if you can't stay true to your original menu? That would be comparable to a southern BBQ restaurant opening in WI and serving sloppy Joe's instead of pulled pork. Overall the food here is pretty good, but not as good as Culver's in the midwest. The service is mediocre at best...a simple apology and taking accountability for mistakes would go a long way. Even better, listening to your customers' requests and getting the orders right the first time would go a long way in ensuring repeat business from those of us who truly love Culver's but will not settle for less than what we came to expect at the original...
