Unprofessional and little to no communication skills. I recently purchased two birds. One day in I noticed one had a troubled leg. The next day I woke up to a passed away bird. I went back to the store looking for either an exchange or refund. I was told to wait in the animal center. After 10 minutes of sitting back there, I finally went to the front and asked if anybody would be meeting me in the back. That’s when they actually informed someone on radio. So I sat in the back for 10 minutes with a deceased bird, even though there was someone behind the glass who had saw me. The woman finally came out, and I met with immediate hostility. I had to correct her several times on my receipt, and she tried to argue every step of the way. This is the second time that I have seen a bird purchased from the store mysteriously pass away. My husband had bought a pair almost a month ago. after setting them up in the cage and making sure that they were comfortable, we went to bed and woke up to one of those passed away. This was a completely different set to the birds that I had purchased for myself a couple days ago. She tried to accuse me of another exchange of my original exchange, and I had to explain to her that they were two separate purchases two completely different sets of birds. She was rude with me, waiting in the back and asking for assistance, and was nothing but snarky. When she went to exchange the bird for another behind the glass, she left my deceased bird in a box on the floor with children running around. She was rude about me, not providing another email on the contract. I was very disheartened with this experience, as I have been a loyal customer to this specific PetSmart, since I was in my teens. I spent thousands in the store my husband has spent thousands in the store and my mother-in-law uncountable money put in the store. At the end of the day, almost all of their birds, seem unhealthy And I am shocked to see this, as this is a corporation that has huge stock of supplements and vitamins for these exotic pets. I did not say anything to the manager about her behavior or her unprofessionalism due to the fact that as she was exchanging my bird, I could hear her speaking ill of me and my bird over either the radio or to another person that had to have been behind the glass so this seems like it may be a norm by...
Read moreI was in there tonight and I don’t know the name of the blonde haired lady that was super rude. (I think she was the manager) But my dog has gotten kennel cough and I work 10 hour days and haven’t had time to take her to the vet until the weekend, so I bought Vet-Worthy Kennel Cough drops at the Mason, Ohio PetSmart. My friend also needed some drops for her dog as well and she lives in the Newport area, so we decided to go to this PetSmart store by her. We get there and are greeted by a really nice worker and she didn’t know if they sold them or not, so she called for the blonde haired rude lady. She just started off by saying only the vet can give us something and started being rude. Keep in mind it’s 8:30 at night and the vet is closed and her dog needs some relief now. I said well I bought these drops at the PetSmart in Mason, Ohio (30 minutes away) last night for my dog. She said we don’t sell that and none of our stores have ever sold that, just going back and forth with us being very rude. (Basically calling me a liar) I said actually I have a photo of it and it says sold at PetSmart. She then refused to see my picture, walked to the medicine aisle and said they didn’t have it and continued to be VERY rude. We decided to just leave after that. She apparently wasn’t willing to try to help us or my friends dog..... I don’t know maybe their specific store didn’t sell it or it was out of stock. But no need to be rude like this girl was and basically call me a liar when I just bought it from a PetSmart store last night. Oh, and if you bothered to look it up in your system you would’ve seen that actually your stores DO sell it. Maybe get your facts straight, it is pretty bad when a customer knows more than the store employee. This girl was NOT very well mannered or knowledgeable for...
Read moreI called as soon as I placed my order, because the app said I had the last bag. Due to the blizzard, my cats have been out of food for 2 days and I expressed that to both of the employees I spoke to, that it was really urgent for me that they go ahead and grab the bag of food and put it to the side so someone else didn’t buy it. The woman I spoke to first flat out told me no she wouldn’t go grab it because “no one was available to do that”, despite her being on the phone with me. I also expressed that due to car issues, we only have one and that was why I couldn’t come pick it up myself and instead had to place the order. Despite all of my efforts, they ignored me and the bag was bought by someone else, but Chad gave me the excuse that their inventory was incorrect, there never was a bag. Unfortunately, I’ve worked at PetSmart and I know how inventory works, it’s supposed to be exact. Either someone is stealing cat food or they just lied to me. Now I will have to drive from Florence, KY to the other side of Cinci get the food my cats eat tonight and hope they have it. Never going back to this crap store and I hope the employees are satisfied with themselves for causing me all of this heartache. Not to mention, I used all of my points to pay for the food, and despite him trying to assure me they would get returned, I have been through this before and they won’t be returned. $40 in points gone. Chad was somewhat nice, but the woman I spoke to was flat out rude and dismissive. Don’t work in customer service if you don’t like talking to people. It was a very simple request and none of that...
