First of all, I am reviewing Free People in general. All of these stores are small and totally disorganized. They don't ever seem to carry what is online. However, ordering anything from Free People online is a huge gamble. You may or may not ever receive your order and their customer service is horrible. Last summer, I ordered a dress. I was notified it had shipped and I was given a delivery estimate. That day came and went. I wrote multiple times to customer service and was told I need to wait 10 days. Well, why? The delivery service they use is the absolute worst in the business - UDS. They routinely lose things. That is exactly what happened to my dress order. Not only did it never come, but the tracking even said it was lost but Free People still refused to refund or help me. So, I put a stop payment on my credit card. That got their to attention! They then froze my Free People account. I reported to the BBB and they unfroze my account. I never released payment because why should they have my money for something that never came? Now, several months later, I have placed an order for a pair of pants. Same story! FP says it's shipped and the delivery estimate was two days ago. The UDS tracking says they don't even have it. Customer service is telling me I have to wait until 3/21 before they can help me. Why?? Why should I have to wait another 10 days with no order and no money back? The women at madewell were very kind on the other hand and so we spent our money there. $600. They made up for the rudeness of Erica. And if your larger fitting room is only for handicap or strollers - maybe donāt have it open ? Or a sign? And not make my daughter and I move to a small one (note only one other out of 7 were being used and store very empty ) By the way- Iām the type of person to give my seat up , hold the door, help others in any way I can. Iāve also always felt safe during covid-19 and the staff have always been wearing masks appropriately. Today I went in to do a return for an online order & browse in-store. Amanda was absolutely wonderful! She processed my return quickly and with kindness, and she also assisted me while I browsed. I had selected a few incredibly bulky items to try on, and she was able to put them in a fitting room for me so I did not carry them while I shopped. She also grabbed me extra sizes and offered similar items in a genuine manner. I did not feel pushed to buy anything at all. Today is my birthday, and Amandaās kindness made it just a bit more...
