My experience at this store today was less than a star, unfortunately there is not a zero star available. I had bought a dress from a BCBG department at Beachwood mall on sunday, brought it home and it was a little too small so i was by this store so i stopped by , they did not have the same dress in a size up so i asked to return it, the girl looked at my dress and asked if i had got an additional discounts for the make up stains on the dress, i said no so she went on to say that the dress was damaged, therefore it was not returnable, the make up stains were on the dress when i bought it, but i didnt think it was a big deal , so i got the dress anyways, she said she did not accuse me of having had worn the dress but i damaged the dress so it is not her problem! the person at the BCBG department at Beachwood mall said that the dress she sold to me had no stains on it, so that means i made the stains!!!! i had the dress in the bag the whole time since i tried it on on sunday night then put it in the car til today , Wednesday to return it! they, the managers at both BCBG and the Dillards store told me there was nothing they could do, and i had no proof that they sold me the dress with the make up stains on there(the dress is white) so i will have to keep the dress, i have the dress that does not fit me with the make up stains from the previous person tried it on. Ladies please be very careful when you want to spend your money here, inspect your item very good before you purchase it, or you will be in the situation i am in, personally , i will never come back to this store or any other BCBG department for the way i was treated today, like a thief or a criminal. the dress was only 85 dollars at sale price, plus tax, not like it was 1000 dollars for me to try to cheat the store! save your money and dignity and spend your money elsewhere. Nordstrom or Saks will not have let this happen in their stores! i will make sure everyone i know will boycott these stores for as...
Read moreI purchased a pair of leather ankle boots at Dillard’s just over a month ago. They were originally $129.98 on sale for 77.99. I wore the boots about 5 times and noticed the zipper on the heal was falling apart. Today, I took the boots back to Dillard’s in the original box with return label in tact hoping for an exchange. I love the boots and they fit great. I just didn’t think $129 dollar boots should fall apart after 5 wears. Unfortunately , they no longer had my size and no area stores did either. This was understandable and not why I gave the store a 1 star review. It was while I was waiting for the store manager to come and approve a refund when the young sales associate told me “these fall apart all the time because they are cheap”. I said “ I don’t think $129 was cheap” to which he replied he “paid 190 for his shoes and they lasted” and suggested I spend $30 more and my shoes might last a bit longer. I was really annoyed and said it was not a competition about who spend more on shoes and suggested we halt the conversation. Instead, he continued to tell me they were less expensive and I should buy Eco if I wanted them to last.
When the store a manger, Ryan, arrived, I told him what had happened and the kid started on how cheap I was again. The manager did suggest he walk away but at no point did he apologize for the rude behavior of the associate and seemed to see nothing wrong with what transpired.
Brick and mortar companies would be wise the practice the customer success model if they want to stay in business. Dillard’s is a dinosaur and if it wants to stay in business, it should invest in customer success training for ALL employees in the North...
Read moreIncredible Experience - Madeline is a Lifesaver! I had one of the most unexpected yet heartwarming experiences today at Dillards in the mall, all thanks to Madeline I came in to find a dress for my friend's wedding, and Madeline was so helpful from the start--kind, patient, and full of great suggestions. But while I was trying on dresses, I suddenly started feeling dizzy and unwell. Madeline didn't hesitate for a second. She immediately brought me water and snacks, stayed by my side, and kept checking on me the whole time. She stayed with me for over an hour, making sure I was okay. She didn't stop there-she even called another coworker who has nursing experience, and that person checked my pulse, calmly asked me questions about how I was feeling, and made sure I was okay. Madeline even offered to call the ambulance or take me to the hospital and genuinely cared about how l was feeling. Even though I felt embarrassed, she made me feel safe, supported, and never alone. That level of care is rare and speaks volumes about her character and dedication to her customers. Shopping at Dillard's didn't just result in finding a beautiful dress--it reminded me that real human kindness still exists. The service was not only professional, but deeply personal and compassionate. I left feeling taken care of, supported, and truly valued as a customer. From now on, I'll only shop at this mall, and I've already told all my friends to do the same. Thank you so much, Madeline and team--you're...
