I had a horrendous experience at the checkout yesterday. I am 34 weeks pregnant and not moving very quickly these days. I brought two Christmas tree skirts up to the checkout because one did not have a price. Depending on which was cheaper, I would make my decision on what to buy. The cashier was extremely aggravated with me and yanked both of them out of my hands and walked away even though only one needed a price check. Then she hollered at me that they were the same price, so I requested to see them again. They were $50. Thatâs a lot of money to spend on a Christmas decoration, and I wanted to be happy with my decision.
She got very annoyed with me and kept grumbling and rolling her eyes that I wanted to look again. I had a really hard time making the decision and she had zero patience. I would have understood her frustration if there was a huge line or something, but there was only one person behind me and there were 9 registers with cashiers working them. I felt so rushed into the decision and by the time I made my choice and paid, she tried being nicer to me I think because she realized she had crossed the line. But it was too late. Every time I look at that Christmas tree skirt, I feel sad and wish I had stuck up more for myself. Why canât people have more holiday love for others? I hope HomeGoods reminds their cashiers to go easy on people. I know a lot of elderly people like to shop there too, and I can see them having a...
Read moreBeing a huge fan of TJ Maxx.. I was very excited as a first time home owner to see the announcement of the store. I've never walked in to a new business and walked out so quickly. Immediately you see overpriced mediocre at best furniture. The rest of the store was typical of what I'd expect but I didn't make it that far. After 3 minutes of wrestling through aisles and seeing a new face pop up in front of me every 4 seconds.. I left. The congestion was high, walking space low, and the layout poor. I've never said "excuse me" so many times in a minute before in my life. Nor have i felt so embarrassed for simply walking by (or attempting to) every person in the aisles (if you can call them that). This isn't some poor service experience where I'd love to give the company another chance.. I literally can't make myself go back in there....
