T.J. Maxx — Local services in Norton Shores

Visiting from another city and the older lady in charge of the dressing room around 6:00-7:00 pm on 4/11/25 counted my number of clothes right after I counted them in front of her. After I came out the dressing room she counted them again. When a gentleman whom was white came out of the dressing room she didn’t count his clothing and her demeanor was a lot more kind towards him. I said thank you numerous times and she didn’t respond when I wanted to ask her something she ignored me and was extremely rude. If you are gonna have prejudice workers against minorities at this facility I’ll be taking my money elsewhere. As a customer my experience was completely ruined and I will be contacting corporate because of this. You have no right treating customers this way. 0/5 stars. I was gonna buy more as the seashell jewelry is gorgeous but after this experience I just decided to leave. The only good experience I had here was with Marilyn the cashier whom checked me out I spent $90 here yesterday and it’ll be my last at this establishment because of the racist dressing...

The store itself is very clean and the customer service is great. My main issue is the fact that people like me who need bigger sizes from XL and up have little choices. I went there today hoping to buy some nicely designed shirts. But was very disappointed with how little designs the shirts and the little variety of shirts they had today were. I'm not sure if they dont stock up on Saturdays or if it was just the time of day but I hope next time I can see more variety and just better looking shirts in my size.

Comparing to the options Large and under had is a joke. They have all these cool designs while my size XL had bland and boring ones. Personally I like having some kind of design on my clothes. If your gonna get some designs for smaller sizes please consider getting the same ones for...

In my personal opinion. It's a hodgepodge of stuff. Certainly not the store I remember back in the day when there was a good selection of items. Not much to choose from in the women's clothing and shoes. I didn't look for any other items during my recentl shopping trip so I can't give an opinion on the other departments. However, when I went in a few years ago, I really wasn't too impressed with the selection and thus why I haven't returned until just recently. When I went in, it was pretty much the same.
