Emperor Supply Inc — Local services in Oakland

A surprise find - wish I had known about it during my recent reno project as they have all the electrical bits you could want, far more than my local Ace store (which is good but has a fraction of the inventory).

The guy at the counter was helpful, friendly, and honest to us even though we aren't contractors and went out of his way to show us lighting stuff they had even though we are still "just shopping".

Would definitely return to get hardware...

Imagine a Home Depot that is well organized, no missing parts, no wrong parts in the bins, AND it has a counter where you can say give me Widget A and Widget B and they go get it for you. Terrible service and bad attitude. I’ll never buy there again. They retrieved for me 4 fluorescent bulbs and sheathed them in “protective foam” and taped them all together so I wouldn’t notice until I got home that 2 were broken!
