I have worked with YY previously while moonlighting for Easy Mac Support, a tech support service in the East Bay. I brought my laptop to them to have the display sorted out because they were available before my appointment with ComputerLand of Berekely who is an Authorized Apple Repair facility and was set up for me by Apple.
When I arrived the shop owner took a look at it and then alerted me to a recall issued by Apple for this exact thing. He recommended I save my appiontment with ComputerLand as they would be able to fix it completely free. This didn't turn out to be the case (because ComputerLand refused to honor the recall) however, after an over-the-phone diagnosis with Apple (for a second time) I shipped the laptop out and it was indeed a recall issue for which I had to pay nothing.

I had taken my computer to 3 other repair people who all told me I needed to replace parts and when I did that and it still was crashing, I was frustrated and stumped. Thankfully my girlfriend, (feeling sorry for my months of crashes) looked online and found YY Computers. Tony treated the computer as if it were his own and was able to create the right circumstances to identify the mysterious crash. He swapped out parts and confirmed what I needed. My MacBook Pro 2016 was having issues where the screen wouldn't turn on anymore (seemed positional and so disappointing considering how much $$ I had dropped on it when it first came out) I came in expecting to have to shell hundreds of dollars to get it fixed.
The owner took a look and printed me out info about the unit having a known issue with the backlight. He told me to go to the Apple Store and show them that and they will fix it. He could've charged me to do it.
I was skeptical since the Apple care has lapsed but anyways off I went to an Apple store in 2022. And they were able to fix my baby back up! For free!
I'm still happily using my laptop to this day. 5 stars. Thank you so much for your honesty...
