3rd update just because I still hate you guys and I want people to see this at the top - "Upon inspection, it appears the first break presents as it occurred as the result of a significant impact to the frame from an incident not a defect." Word for word the response I received when the picture shows a giant knot in our support beam. I paid for a useless sofa of poor quality. Will not return, will not give money, will not support this business in any way. Your customer service is as poor as the quality sofa I was sold.
Updating because Kane's is still acting like they are right, as you can see from their response. They are making it out like my first broken support was from us and not the giant knot in the wood of the beam that I posted. That beam snapped not even 2 weeks after we got and we didn't even realize it was the support beam cause the couch didn't sink or dip on that side. I literally don't even weigh 120lbs and my man is 180, we don't have large animals, or kids for that matter but WE broke it. You guys are a joke and full of it.
Will never return as a customer and will never refer people. It is now my mission to go out of my way to deter people from using them. They sell furniture with manufacturer defects and then go out of their way to overreach to not honor the warranty, to not take responsibility and tell you it's customer neglect. I didn't ask for new furniture, I didn't ask for anything for free, only wanted the furniture itself fixed under the warranty. I literally just need new support beams, which any reputable furniture store could do. Pictures for reference so other people can see the claim that's being denied. I would give a zero if at all possible because I have never seen such poor customer service and not even just the store, corporate themselves told me they won't honor...
BEWARE!!! We purchased a sofa a few months ago. It appeared to be a very nice, decent quality leather sofa. Sales and delivery process went pretty smoothly. A couple months of sitting on it proved the sofa was defective. We had taken the warranty because it has several mechanisms. We called for service. The serviceman finally made it out a few weeks after we called, mind you the sofa is so uncomfortable we sit on office chairs at this time. Nothing like paying big $$$ for a sofa we canāt use. Of course the sofa needed parts that had to be ordered. This was in October. Itās now Dec 5. I called today and was told they have 1/2 of the parts but the other 1/2 wonāt be in till January sometime. Iāve asked to speak with a manager. Of course no one is available. Was told it may be 24-48 hrs.
None of this is acceptable. Weāve been unable to use this sofa for months. It is my opinion that a new sofa should have been brought to our home. Customer service does not exist anymore and itās truly a crying shame the way we are treated today.
Shame on you Kaneās Furniture. I will continue to post my reviews on any and every website I can until some resolution is reached.
Update: I just heard back from the service department. Their reply was āsorry, you will just have to wait for the partsā. I say unacceptable, absolutely unacceptable. New update. 12 1019 - The company issued store credit and stated we could go and pick out a new couch since we refused to an exchange for fear that our couch might have some kind a defect. I will start out by saying that up until the recent incident, I really enjoyed our experience with Kane's. In my opinion the furniture is great and the salespeople are thoughtful and caring. We purchased a dining table, chairs, desks, a bookcase and a sectional. All of our furniture arrived in good condition and we are happy with what we have received
Now for the issue.
I bought several pieces of furniture with cash on 8/8/20 from Kane's. Total of all furniture purchased was over $3000 which gave us an additional 20% off.
A few of the pieces were not in stock including a desk, chair and hutch set for my daughter. The estimated delivery date was initially stated to be November of 2020. At this time we have received all of the furniture on the order except for my daughter's desk, chair and hutch. This date ended up getting pushed out to February of 2021.
I told our salesperson to cancel the order and refund the money for the desk, hutch and chair because we could not wait that long. He cancelled the order and told us we would be refunded $171 because taking the pieces off the order resulted in us losing the 20% discount and only receiving 10%. I was never made aware of the fact that I would lose the discount on the whole order by removing these pieces.
I asked that he put the furniture back on the order and was told that since the order had been cancelled I would need to pay $520 to buy the pieces on a new ticket since the old ticket could not...
