My daughter purchased sweatpants with her own money yesterday and to be safe since they are not allowing returns or exchanges or try-on’s because of covid I had her get a large. My daughter agreed after a discussion of her always being a medium and my well better baggier so you don’t risk anything not allowing a return. The sweatpants fit like leggings. The store will do nothing. I feel they are mis-marked and we are stuck for $25.00. I understand the covid thing, however all other stores are now accepting returns. I spent 60 on odds and ends and her total was 31, so I guess I can say that’s the last “dime” the 5 and dime will get from us. I’m from out of town but visit here several times a year and usually end up picking something up at Hoy’s on Asbury. I know my business is nothing but I hope others with similar situations where the store should stand behind what the sell and doesn’t will consider going elsewhere.    Read moreNot a 5 & dime store. Of course you are not expecting everything to cost 5 or 10 cents, however the items in there arent even "inexpensive" as the name might imply. Everything is sold at its regular retail store price. This is similar to those so called dollar stores, where everything there costs more than a dollar, but since they round the price up to the nearest dollar, call themselves a "dollar" store just to get you in there.
Now they do have a very large selection of items ranging from beach equipment and souvenirs to homegoods and personal care items. However don't expect that ur going to get a bargain just because of the store's name. If you are not in hurry for what you need amazon has better prices + quality for...
