Born and raised in South Jersey, I grew up going to the shore and we always hit Johnsonâs before heading home. It was a staple.. a very delicious staple lol Fast forward 25 years and I placed an order for a tin of popcorn from Johnsonâs at Christmas time. Something happened with the package and it ended up in a whole other state. After about 2 weeks of waiting to see if the problem would resolve itself, I contacted Johnsonâs wonderful customer service via email.
These type of things are always a nuisance, no one wants to deal with refunds/returns/lost packages, but they made it SO easy. The woman who helped me responded very quickly, was so kind, and was solely interested in making it right. The pattern of tin I ordered originally was out of stock, so she sent me TWO tins in a different pattern to compensate me for the inconvenience AND she overnighted them! I was insanely impressed and grateful for the fabulous customer service. I have always loved Johnsonâs, but now I just have even more respect and love for them. Lovely company! ...
Read moreI've been getting caramel corn here since I was really young with my family. When I think of the ocean city boardwalk, I think of Johnson's popcorn. The name says it all: they sell popcorn. You can get caramel corn in one of many sizes ranging from a cup the size of a small soda cup to a huge metal gift bucket full of caramel corn. My family would usually get the step down from the metal bucket, which was a plastic bucket. I really like seeing them making the caramel corn in the bag. It helps to add to the experience, and you know you're not getting some factory made caramel corn that's been sitting in a bag for weeks before getting to you. The caramel corn you get is warm and made right in front of you. If they ask you if you want the lid on, say no; they'll put the bucket in a plastic bag with the popcorn overflowing, so you end up with a lot of...
Read moreI've been a long-time customer. The quality of the product is top-notch. Today however we came to get our big tin refilled (1 of 3) to start our time at our shore house and when they refilled it they used two large and a partial small bucket to do it. Should have been at most 40 you buy this tin to save on refills. However, now it is 48 bucks to get a refill that is not even totally full. What happened? I have been loyal to Johnsons since they were on the Wildwood boards. Now we drive 30+ miles from Cape May to OC, and I am just disappointed in this change. Honestly, I have been filling that tin since it was 32 bucks to fill it. That's why we bring 3. It's kind of a shame, and the only reason this place doesn't get a full 5...
