Tre's Place — Local services in Ocean City

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I know perfectly well that a lot of the stores in Ocean City have their employees go up to new customers and greet them and ask if they need any help, but they go away after a polite “no thank you”. I went in with my sister last night (on 4th of July) and the first employee that approached me was polite and went away when I said I didn’t need any help, but the second employee to approach me frightened my sister and me. He came at us shouting to go into the back of the shop and waved his arms to try and force us towards the back of the shop. As two women, we both felt very threatened, but I kept my calm and gave him a firm no thank you. The man said he didn’t mean to scare us, and tried to throw in another sales pitch which I gave him another firm no, but thank you. He then proceeded to stand there, cornering my sister and I, and stared us down. I was very uncomfortable so I told him I did not need any help and I wanted him to go away. He then threateningly told my sister and I to get out of the shop. We had done nothing wrong that warranted being kicked out of the shop, but feeling very uncomfortable and threatened we both left angrily. I bought a sweatshirt at this store just minutes ago, that had a price tag that said it was $29.99. I also asked for help from an employee who also said it $29.99. I bought the sweatshirt, left the store and happened to look at my receipt, which showed he charged me $42! I immediately went back in to address this, and they said they'd get the manager. I waited 15 mins for the manager to come, I guess they were hoping I'd just leave. I explained to the 'so called manager' by the name of Matam, who refused to do anything about it. I showed him my receipt and also showed him the same shirts on the rack that still had the tags which said $29.99. He kept saying he understood, and that I was correct, but in the same breath continuned to state they have a no refund or return police!! So basically that it was too bad. She was very customer oriented and willing to go the extra step for great customer service. She also had the best music playing out of all the shops.
