I tried many jewelers, one as far away as VA where I purchased the ring, to be told No chance to restore the band close to former shape and beauty. They would not try. Even though John's shop was referred to me as a must try prior to replacing the ring, I walked into his shop with no confidence the answer going to be different. Frankly, my confidence was so low I was not prepared to discuss the ring beyond thank you for looking. John promptly assessed the ring then said what he could do to restore the ring, the pricing, and estimated repair date. The result: I am amazed what he accomplished, and he did so with reasonable pricing and on time. The ring will never be the same as prior to such a violent incident, of course, but John restored the ring such that it is difficult to see a difference. It was bad from the beginning, I called in to see how much he would charge for Rhodium dipping. He originally said 50, so I came in and gave him a chances. I came in and he immediately 65$ an item. He promised he would triple dip it. And it would take a whole week. The next day he called back and said your stuff is ready. We came to pick it up and it didn’t seem like it was triple dipped.
