Well where do you start! Today my wife wanted to take me to breakfast for Father's Day, so I chose Waffle House. Usually good food and great service. However, keep in mind its a Sunday and Father's Day so we had to wait a bit for a seat to open up. Not a problem its understandable. When people finished at 2 seperate booths the lady cleaning off tables or whatever here job was I guess only to wiped down the tables. She left all used dishes on the table therfore we had to wait additional for someone else to remove the used dinnerware. So patience is now getting thin. When we finally got a seat the server "Kathy with the multicolored hair and an elite server cap" as "What do you want to drink" in a pissy tone. Water and coffee please. Water and coffee arrive on the table with a thud. "Are you ready to order she asks" Why yes we are, my wife odered a waffle and hash browns with cheese, onions, mushrooms and peppers and I ordered a Texas bacon egg and cheese with hashbrowns. The order arrives with the server Kathy putting a huge scoop of chili on top of my wife's hashbrowns. My wife trying to be nice said don't worry I'll try to eat it. My opinion is if "Kathy" wouldn't have been in a pissy frame of mind, just maybe she would have paid attention to the order. Guess my point is, if you don't like your job, find one that makes you happy and quit with the horrible attitude toward people spending hard earned money to have an enjoyable experience. Read moreToday, I had a terrible experience at the Ocean Springs Waffle House. I came in to the restaurant to place a to go order. The a manager named Jason took my order. He took my name so the preparer of the order could call it out when it was ready. I order at 9:10 am and waited patiently as about 25 people who ordered after me received their food that were dine in customers. I thought to myself that maybe they have to work the carryouts in between dine in orders. I knew something was wrong when a carry out order was rung up that ordered about 10 mins after me. At this point it was 9:40 am. I came up to the counter and inquired about my order. The person whose attention I got found my order on the back counter prep area. I saw this order sit there for at least 20 mins. She brought it over to me, and I tried to ring me up. I told her that I saw that order sitting there for 20 mins and it had to be cold. I told her nobody called my name, and I assumed that it had to be someone else's carryout order. She apologized and told me that she could have it remade as a "rush". I am not sure whose is to blame. It could have been Jason the manager failing to let the person know i was waiting. It could have been the person that called it to the cooks. I don't think it was the girl that had it remade, but it might have been. Poor...
Read moreI work overnights so the only places to go to are Waffle House or whataburger. So whenever one place has a decent line I go to the other. But even when the Waffle House is not busy with customers, the service is super slow!!! The past 5 consecutive times I came, they were not busy at all, customers were eating and no one was cooking. 3 times I walked in, sat down and waited a good 5 minutes each time before I walked back out without one person saying a single word to me, waiting for someone to take my order. And past 2 times I walk in, and they say there not taking orders. I don’t understand when it’s 24 hours. Been here many many times and had both good and bad experiences here but definitely won’t be going back at all because of the terrible/no service and “not taking orders” the past consecutive 5...
