If I could give zero stars I would. No wonder Dillard's is dying and their is nobody in the store. I went to this store to find some cute clothes for my friend. It took at least 30 minutes of me wondering the store to find an associate to help me. Once I did find someone he lead me to the clearance section and told me what I was looking for was probably here. So I spent about two hours looking though the racks and concluded with five shirts. I then waited probably another 15 minutes until somebody came and helped me check out. I went home and wrapped the shirts for my friend whos birthday was in two weeks. A week goes by, she try's them on, they don't fit and she doesn't really like them. I drive back up to Ogden (I'm in the Bountiful/ Woods Cross area) to return my items. Again, I wait 20 minutes then have to search throughout the store for somebody to help me. When I found a lady to help me she non-politely said "Yeah. One sec." It looked like she wasn't doing anything, nobody was in the store but me, she was just standing there. I get needing to finishing up work matter but certainly not day dreaming matters. I try to return my items and she asks if they were clearance items. I told her they were and she informed me that instead of their 30 day return policy, clearance items can only be returned 3 DAYS AFTER. Nobody told me this. There are no signs at the clearance section nor when you are checking out. The two different sales associates didn't tell me either. I spent over $200 so I feel like I'm about to cry. I walk out of the store and go home. The next day I decided to call the store manager, STERLING. I swear on my life I was being polite. I was shocked to be met with snarky replies. I calmly explained my situation and my dissatisfaction with the customer service. He asked "Did you read the receipt" to which I replied "I should have but really, who reads receipts?" He then LECUTERED ME, LIKE I WAS A MORON that I should be reading the receipts and that his employees are not at fault for not doing their job so they can scam customers like me so they can get paid higher commission. I told him I had driven all the way up to Ogden from Bountiful just to go to his store. He told me "Well then you should have gone to Salt Lake." I thought a store manager would appreciate any customer they can get. MORAL OF THE STORY DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY POOR AND THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET ANOTHER DIME IN THEIR...
Read moreThe Ogden store is a ghost town. Now I know why. I made a large purchase ($100+) for my husbands birthday. Knowing if he didn't like the clothes, I would return them my next time driving through Ogden. He didn't like the clothes. They were 'clearance items'. THE STORE POLICY FOR CLEARANCE ITEM(S) RETURN -IS 3 DAYS. Buyer beware! I was not able to be refunded. The policy is on the receipt HOWEVER if anyone would have communicated at the time of purchase, I only had a 3 day window for return, I never would have made the purchase, due to the fact that his birthday was 5 days out. The lack of communication from the clerk(s), the lack of signage stating the policy is extremely disappointing!! When I went to make the return I stood in the ghost town men's department for 15 minutes before finding any sales clerk to help. The lady at the perfume counter said she could help me when she was done with her task (with no customer near her), I waited. I would have not started to cry, had the clerk offered any amount of kindness, stating "I am sorry, or oh we should have communicated better." I'm placing bets on when the doors will close. After calling the store manager, Sterling, he did not offer any condolences, or sorrow for my mishap. No compassion for my situation and misunderstanding. He simply stated I should have READ MY RECIEPT. PLEASE READ YOUR...
Read moreVery mediocre shopping experience sadly. The store looks great and mimics Macy's look very well with some lovely merch. But the staff is other than excellent. No less than 6 different employees popped their heads out at the shoe department but not one was capable of getting the shoes we were interested in trying on. It was our second attempt so this department definitely has staffing issues. They don't wear name tags either. I finally spoke to a dark haired girl who said she'd tell someone because she was going on break. One poor lighter colored young man seemed the only one working. And in the make up there was just one employee so we gave up there also. I ended up leaving empty handed and placed an order online for the items we wanted instead of supporting local business. I'd rather pay a bit more to keep...
