This Taboo doesn’t quite live up to its own expectations. What to know before eating here anytime soon; I’d recommend giving it some time to settle in. There is a lot to unpack, I’m giving this place a high 3 star nearly 4 star rating. The inside has been completely remodeled from the business here before. The inside is very nice with a clean modern rustic/industrial feel. They also added sound deadening and opened it up so during busy times I imagine there will be less noise and echo. We dined in on a relatively medium/slow day and time. Our server and the others I observed seemed to be newer to the job, our server in particular was only balancing our party of two and another party of four and seemed to be struggling. It took us about 8 minutes to first hear from them and get water. On a busy day I could expect this but it was not busy by any means. Nearing the end of our visit, it took them about 10 minutes to come and grab our check, regardless of the fact we already had our meals boxed when they gave it to us and were now their only table. The menu, oh goodness who’s responsible. Whoever designed this menu has never done so before; it was impossible to understand. It took us 10 minutes to order and not because of all the yummy delicious options but because we didn’t know what on earth we were looking at. The menu tries to be hip and fun but it’s just confusing not to mention the desperate need to laminate the papers inside them which brings me to the food. The pizza was middle ground, greasy. Not bad but I can’t imagine craving it over the competition in the area. This fact is unfortunate to me as their takeout location has some of the best pizza I’ve had. They desperately need to add more variety in their pizzas to this location as they do their other. As of now they pretty much have pepperoni, more pepperoni, pepperoni and some meat, everything pizza, and Hawaiian. I was also very disappointed to see they copied the last businesses tactic of only serving personal pizzas. I would’ve loved if this location offered their sizing options at their take out location, at this one. It seems so blatantly copied. Their bar is tiny, so don’t come here just for that. Pricing is what’s to be expected, $14-18$ for a 10” pizza. It also took us approximately 40 minutes to get our pizza, I don’t believe it’s our server to blame but probably poor kitchen management or an inefficient oven/prepping system. In conclusion, they need an easier to read and laminated menu with more diverse options. They need to prioritize training staff new to the field. They need to take inspiration from themselves and not the business there before. They need to work on their efficiency and quality. I would give this location some time, a few months maybe to get up and running before giving it a try. They don’t seem quite ready yet.

Wowza the pizza man... i got brisket on alfredo with extra cheese and it was very good. The alfredo was heavy and just great. The basil was strong just as it should be and the brisket almost seemed like it was perhaps roasted in house and not frozen like most places toppings. Either way it was killer so much so that if my hunger and satisfaction in my meal was a cat then taboo slayed all nine lives. It put me and my wife into a very happy sleeping coma like it was T day. The hot boi was so good too. Honestly it could have been a meal in itself. But really the true star was the cheese. And if i could do it all over again id say forget it all (even though it was great) and get just a family large extra cheese with extra alfredo sauce on the pizza. Because that crust and cheese was just gooey and heavenly. You could waste $50 on two crap pizzas elsewhere like marcos...(foul) or spend less close to $20 and get one that will not only hit the spot but itll obliterate it like Hiroshima. Im still thinkin about that cheesey pizza.. man. Great stuff. Thanks guys. The cheese you use alone made it worth it. Mmm mmm mmm.

5-Star Review for Taboo Pizza – Ogden, Utah If you haven’t been to Taboo Pizza in Ogden yet, you’re seriously missing out! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was incredible—cozy, welcoming, and right next to the river with a stunning view that adds so much to the experience. Let’s talk about the pizza—absolutely out of this world! The dough was perfect: light, airy, and crisp in all the right places. You could tell it was crafted with real care. Every bite was full of bold flavor, perfectly balanced, and totally satisfying. Lou went above and beyond with his friendly and helpful service—super attentive and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. And to top it off, the owner himself came out to greet us, and you could truly feel the love and dedication he pours into both the food and the space. This place isn’t just a pizza joint—it’s a full experience. Highly recommend!

Honestly the only reason this place is getting 2 stars is because the food was tasted pretty good though it wasn't hot. But the service was something to be desired. Waited at least 15 minutes before the server even came to the table. Mind you it wasn't that busy. Thankfully they gave us water. Once we ordered, our server didn't stop by the table again, but would walk right past us. Waited 45 minutes for our food to show up, we ordered an appetizer didn't get it till the main entrees got to the table. Once the food got to us it definitely had been sitting out for a minute, the food wasn't cold but it wasn't hot and fresh either, food items missing and food made wrong. The worse part about it was the manager, when we told him everything that was wrong he just told us "awe I'm sorry" and stood there awkwardly until the missing food was brought to the table. My youngest daughter never received her food just ate my food which was made wrong. By the time my correct food got to the table everyone else was done eating, the manger thankfully comped the food that was never received and the food that was made wrong. But I would hate to see this go under for terrible service. Will definitely never eat in again. Might possibly get take out again but...

This is our second time eating at this location. The food is absolutely amazing but the service was terrible. We were seated by the hostess and told our server's name. We waited 10 minutes without being helped and the hostess came over and apologized saying the waitress was busy. 5 minutes later she came over and apologized saying she forgets there is a table there. We were seated between 2 pillars. We got our drinks and approximately 15 minutes later our food. The waitress then disappeared and we never received the drink refills we requested. After 25 minutes, we were getting really upset and asked the hostess for help. She got another server to come help us. The male server apologized and took our card to pay our bill. Our waitress finally came over super annoyed and told us, "I'm sorry I couldn't give you my undivided attention. " She then glared at us and walked away. When I went to talk who I thought was the manager, he had disappeared in the back area. There were 3 tables in the entire restaurant that were full and what appeared to be 4 servers. While there pizza is one of the best in Ogden, I don't think we...
