On Oct 23, 2024 I went to Micheal’s on May. Everything was good at first. Halloween decor was 60% off so I’m browsing it all. In no hurry. I’m on leave from my job so I’m working on a few projects at home. I’m putting up an arbor in the garden so I go browse the floral. I like to add scents to the fire pit in the back so I’m browsing for cinnamon sticks and pine cones in Christmas decor. I wanted to make an address sign for over the garage so I’m browsing the wood panels and comparing prices & looking up which type of wood is weather resistant. Then browsing stencils and wood letters to get idea of the route I wanna go. I have a braclet I wear everyday that I broke so I’m looking for stainless steel jump rings and looking at charms I can while I’m repairing it. So yeah I’m there for a while. But I’m minding my business. Not doing anything weird. So WHY did they send someone to tell me I’ve been in there for a while and it’s weird. Weird how??? I was having a good day minding my business. Excited about finishing some home projects and y’all made me feel like I’m doing something wrong like I’m a theft or a weirdo harassing people. I literally didn’t bother anyone. It’s so freaking uncalled for, rude, embarrassing and unacceptable. Thank you for ruining my day and making it to where I never want to visit a Micheal’s store again. Why don’t you put a sign on the door with your time limit a person can be inside your store? Read moreThe manager, Benny/Bennie (sp. not sure) was very kind and took time to listen to me. That is the only reason I am giving 5 stars. His spirit is kind, unlike one of the employees who was very rude with her body language & discounting me. And another employee saying "she said something about emergency surgery" in front of customers in line. I am not a regular Michael's customer - in fact this was the first time in many years I bought items. I ordered on line in September. I had my receipt. Items were new w/ tags. I had emergency surgery. I assumed there was a 90 day return period. It is 60 days. I was over by 2 weeks. Michaels should have return information on receipts for online orders. There is nothing on the on line receipt about returns. I would had somebody return for me if I had known the policy vs. having to deal with rude uncaring employees. Read moreThe cashier short changed me by over $10 and all because she was distracted and not focused on her customer, either that or she was deliberately trying to steal money from me. I had a witness and when I kindly brought it to her attention she immediately started raising her voice at me. Then she tries to dismiss me by saying she can't open the register. Then she tries to dismiss me by saying the only way I can prove I'm right is if she counts the register which I told her to go right ahead. Finally the manager shows up and she's just as dismissive, saying they're very tired. I've been in customer service my whole life and have worked even longer hours than usual during the pandemic due to being deemed essential so while I can empathize to an extent ultimately their handling of this matter was entirely unprofessional and inadequate.
