Went to Rockler the other day to look for a product to keep the natural look of white oak without changing the color of it except to darken the color if anything. Clint spent time talking with me after closing hours to discuss my projects and what might work and whether the various things we tested on the samples of white oak that I brought in would align with my desired outcome enough. He provided information on the differences of products and explained how to go about applying some of them and what I would need in order to correctly treat the wood products I would be working on. I didn’t make a purchase that day but appreciated the time/effort/information given to assist me. I did come back and purchased some Rubio monocoat oil plus 2c in white 5% alongside some white Scotch-Brite for the administering of the product. Bought a Laguna F2 table saw this week, plenty of discussion about upgrades, classes and YouTube videos to help set it up. The staff I talked with are wood workers themselves, we talked about their tools, and shop helps during my visit. Put it together this weekend. Looks and works perfect!! My Laguna 14/12 bandsaw, came in from order, all pieces fit well, it is pretty heavy, but I wanted a heavy saw, might want to buy wheel set before you put it together because of weight. Runs quiet and smooth like the table saw....
