This theater is fantastic. It's the newest theater in the Auburn/Opelika area and it shows. They have Carmike's large format BigD theater which is a nice experience (this is not imax). The ticket and snack line are set up well with one line feeding into multiple registers. This speeds things up considerably and prevents the ticket line roulette issues of yesteryear. They also offer FREE refills on all sodas and popcorn. ALL SIZES. This is a great benefit for the increased prices you end up paying at movie theaters. You can run out of your movie and get a quick refill whenever you feel like it. This is one of the best movie theaters I've been to. It doesn't offer alcohol, restaurant food, or some of the other gimmicks that the "higer" end movie theaters do. They focus on the movie experience itself and it shows. All of the screens are appreciably bigger than other theaters I've been to. They also have a game called TimePlay that you can participate in before the movie starts. You can win a large popcorn if you place first. This isn't a big deal but always a nice touch to offer free items just for participating. It's also worth noting the super bargain matinee times (4-530). Prices are a couple bucks cheaper during this time if you're looking to save a little. $6 Tuesday again, so me & Mom got another movie in. Had a feeling it might be a lil crowded due to the holiday week, but it was bearable. The disgust started before I even took out my wallet. Gave an inaccurate phone# for my account and when repeating the correct#, he kept gesturing w/his hand like hurry up (we all know that hand wave like hurry the hell up)!! Whatever, I pay and was told where my movie was. He said it so quick I asked for the # again & in an extremly condescending tone he gave it to me again. 3 degrees here, far from slow!! Don't know what the hell was wrong w/Faulker (or Faulkner), but having my 84 yr old mom w/me saved his life. Then the rudeness continued when I advised him his name tag was upside down. Again, he was very short in letting me know he was aware. W O W!! Remove him & do it ASAP. Forget waking up on the wrong side of the bed, he woke up on another planet. Rude, condescending, disrespectful, and for no reason. Our movie was ruined by a too cold theater& some rude, inappropriate, couldn't keep still teenagers. Constantly kicking my seat, keep getting up, feet across empty seat next to my mom, and then dropped their drink sending ice everywhere!! 😤😳😠 Again mom saved several lives. I rolled the dice taking my elderly Mom w/tons of health issues out, and the entire bit was ruined. I'm soooo past pissed. Free popcorn ain't gonna cut it. Went to see Final Destination. The time online said 9:30pm. At AMC the start time was 9:40. We got there at 9:15. The drink station was dirty- I dropped my lid on the counter and it landed on sticky residue from some dried-up drink. When we walked into our theater there was a worker cleaning. When he left there was still popcorn between the seats. When I moved to the seat I wanted to sit in, something was smeared on the it. I moved down a row and the cupholder was dirty. 9:30 rolls around and the screen still isn't on. The entire time we'd been inside promotions and ads were coming from speakers, even the sound of the preview for Lilo and Stitch. I went to the front to tell them about the screen and they said it was normal. At other AMC theatres, the screen is on before the time given to start. I can understand run time a little over the designated time but the screen didn't even turn on until 9:45, five minutes past the start time (the grouped up 4 or 5 workers explained that it would come on at that time but it's still unacceptable for a movie theatre.
