As a truck driver it's HARD to find a Starbucks that we can get to. So once I found this location I was excited 😊. I found a drink on TikTok the strawberry short cake drink, and now that's the only drink I've been ordering. I NEVER had a problem until today. Ok, so because the order is different and I like it one way, I order via app and walk in as they about to make it. NO OTHER EMPLOYEE had a problem with this. Until today, the young man that was working, I asked him if he knew how to make it. He said, I'll read the paper. I then said, it's a certain way to make it. He said, I got it! First of all he use whole milk and I asked for vanilla sweet cream. I didn't say anything. I asked for 4 scoops of vanilla bean powder, he only did 2. And I still didn't say anything. So, at this point I called him and he ignored me, so the girl next to him tapped him for me. Right, then I seen the attitude. I'm telling him how I want the drinks made cause I'm paying $17 plus for something I want. He then get mad and say, did you pay for extra? Like what? Ain't it on the sticker you so called looking at? He then walks off, gone for 2 minutes and then the manager comes out. At this point, im 5 seconds away from asking for my money back. But she comes and makes my drinks correctly. At this point if he is there working, when I come pass. I won't get anything. Starbucks is not an easy place to work. If you can't handle the high pace atmosphere then he needs to get a job at QT across the street. But at the end of the day when I spend my money on something I want,, GUESS WHAT! I want it made...
Read moreThe newest Opelika Starbucks is open at I-85 and Gateway Drive. It’s on the south side of the interchange. I’ve gone multiple times in the past few weeks. It has a much better drive-thru situation with plenty of room absent from the other nearby location. Service has been great, the drinks are correct, and it's an easy location for me to use. My Christmas Day visit had one glitch, which was not store-related when a cup I ordered via the mobile app was not in the store's inventory. The barista at the drive-thru window had the manager come over to resolve the issue as he was flustered at a computer error out of his control. Enter the manager Lexxie (I hope I’m spelling that correctly.) She was great, and although the system was giving her some pause when fixing and issuing the credit, she persisted. Without a doubt, one of the nicest, most polite people I have ever met in my life. Customers can be glad she’s there, and staff should be honored to work with her. Apparently, not everyone getting coffee on this Christmas Day had the Christmas Spirit, which is unfortunate when these kids work for us on a holiday! This is my favorite store, and I’ll be back...
Read moreWent in and ordered on a Saturday morning. Six baristas behind the bar and no one greeted or welcomed me when I walked in even though they saw me. The barista making drinks made one of mine incorrectly and when I told her she just looked annoyed and didn’t say anything and then started remaking it. No apology, not even a “I’ll get that started for you” - I didn’t ask for her name and her badge had red writing on a black background, impossible to read. No cars in the DT so they were obviously slow, and instead of doing productive tasks like cleaning the inside of fridges or restocking, 2 out of the 6 were going cup by cup, taking them out of the holders and writing messages on each one, while holding the rims of the cups, which is not hygienic. The parking lot had broken glass and trash in spots that one of them could have easily went out and swept up in that same amount of time. I understand this is a new establishment so they may not be trained well, but a supervisor or manager should have stepped in and coached at least one of these issues in the moment. Just another run of the mill spots in Opelika, while other Starbucks in Auburn have set...
