ALO — Local services in Orange

I called regarding a purchase made on my account with a card I don’t own and to a store I’d never been to. I was advised by alo customer service to call the store directly to see if they could look at their cameras from when it happened to get any insight.

They let me talk to their manager- who was so extremely rude about the entire situation. They said it was perhaps the wrong email entered- but mine is very specific and old with a weird end handle, or said it was a mistype of the phone number- so I asked the area code to see if that was it (which could have made sense) to which she replied, she didn’t know???? How do you not know the area code of the store you manage or the surrounding area of where you live? Seemed odd.

She said the tapes can not be looked at- which may be true- but then told me if I was “really that concerned” to file a police report… in Ohio… when I live states away with zero knowledge on what actually occurred.

So- yes. A bizarre encounter- I’ve never been to this store but rest assured I will never go, and I’d double check your alo account because at the very least they aren’t confirming who is purchasing items on the accounts very well.

In spite of not being able to talk with anyone over the phone (no one answers ) or have anyone respond to my emails over the course of three weeks while being reassured by the AI Chatbot several times that someone would be in touch with me directly , the manager Melissa was gracious and patient and truly wanted to help me . I had ordered my item on 12/1 and the item appears to be missing but I Had been trying to reach someone for weeks in order to have the item by Christmas . To no avail.
