I recently purchased a bedroom set from Steinhafels, and while the furniture itself is nice, the customer service experience was frustrating and disappointing. After my set was delivered, I noticed a piece was missing that I had clearly seen in the showroom on May 18—positioned between the bed and the frame. I didn’t know what it was called, so I called the store for clarification. I was told I’d receive a call back, but instead was repeatedly sent to voicemail or told I’d be called back. It took several separate calls before I was finally connected with the General Manager, Claudio G. After speaking with four different employees, I was told the missing item was called a “bunky board.” Since I had never heard that term before, I wouldn't have known to ask for it unless I had actually seen it on the showroom floor. However, Claudio insisted that bunky boards are never shown in display rooms and even sent me a photo on May 30 to “prove” it. He also stated that he couldn’t just give things away for free and offered to sell it to me for over $100. What really bothered me was how unaccommodating Claudio was. Instead of listening to my experience or considering the possibility that the showroom display may not have matched their typical setup, he took a defensive stance and implied I was mistaken or making it up. After spending over $2,000 on a bedroom set, being told to buy an additional piece that was visibly shown (whether intentionally or not) felt unfair and dismissive. If you choose to shop at Steinhafels, make sure you ask detailed questions about every single item you see in the showroom—especially if you’re not familiar with furniture terms. Don’t assume anything is included unless it’s clearly spelled out in writing. To make matters worse, my family was ready to make an additional purchase of over $6,000 at Steinhafels on a new bar set—but they will not be anymore due to how my situation...
Read moreI am overall satisfied with the furniture I bought but I dont recommend shopping here. The process was a nightmare. We ordered a dresser, two nightstands, and a bed frame in early April and were told the dresser wouldnt arrive until early May. The bed and 1 nightstand arrived a few days after our purchase but the bed was missing a few holes and could not be assembled so we had to sleep on the floor for 2 weeks until a service tech could come in just to drill a few holes. Also after that delivery we came to find out that they only placed an order for one nightstand so we had to order another. The additional nightstand and dresser did not come until LATE May, over a month after we ordered it. No additional discounts were given for the inconvenience and the lateness. But I thought that wasnt a to upsetting because they gave us ~$800 discount at purchase, the sales manager made it sound like a really big deal, and that all we had to do was mention 'Darvin Furniture' to get this discount because they wanted our service so bad. However I came to find out that this 'good deal' was just the sale price of the furniture we ordered which was viewable on their website. So they mislead us into thinking they got us a discount just for us when really it was just the listed price on their website. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that a...
Read moreSuch a fantastic store. The products are fantastic quality and priced reasonably. Their staff in store is unparalleled. If you are in need of a mattress, go see Sam at Steinhafels. He’s not a sales person, he truly is a mattress expert. He is so knowledgeable about all the products on the market and customizes his recommendation based on your price point and needs. I was so impressed with the service and friendly attitude of everyone I encountered. The manager, Dave, could not be more nice and complimentary of his team. Stienhafels makes furniture shopping fun and exciting again. The variety and number of items on the floor is...
