My family and I went to Rooms to Go to look at patio furniture. We had been there before and we had decided on an extendable patio table. We went on Memorial Day weekend to get the special deals. When we got there, we looked at a beautiful extendable table. The salesperson, Jason Neal, showed us how cool this table was: with just a touch, it extended. With another touch, it retracted. We talked about how this was the table we wanted: something small for our small family; but extendable for holidays since we have a new baby and the family wants to visit (the new baby was there with us). He told us the table had a special going on: buy the table and two chairs and it would come with two chairs for free! Great! So we purchased the table and added some chairs to the free chairs. Jason said he was having some trouble getting the special deal so it took some time to get the paperwork ready. The invoice said, “PARK WALK WH - DINING TABLE WHITE,” and at the time, I had no idea there was even a “Park Walk” table that did NOT extend. I paid for a warranty because I thought the extendable feature might go bad (being that it is an outdoor table). So over a month later, the table was delivered. To my disappointment, it was a regular patio table. NOT extendable. This was not what I ordered. I looked at my invoice and cut and pasted my invoice into the Rooms to Go website and saw that I was sold and paid for a(n overpriced) non-extendable table. I called as soon as I realized and after a waste of time call to “customer service” I was told I needed to call the store directly. I called the store directly. I was told I needed to speak with Jason Neal but he did not come in until later but they would have him give me a call He did not call so my husband called a few days later and spoke with Jason who told him that is what we bought and he would talk to his manager and call back. There was no call back and this is why I am leaving this poor review. They sold me something else. So if you point to something and say, “This is what I want,” you probably won’t get it. And then they don’t care to do anything about it. At my job, if I don’t give what someone wants, I make it right. I also paid for assembly for my extendable table- I didn’t need assembly for the stupid table I got that needs 4 screws! Speaking of screws, I got...
Read moreThe RTG w/Patio Superstore at Millennium in Orlando,FL is well organized and very spacious. We received a friendly greeting from Wil upon entering the furniture side and were directed to the Patio section (a separate store within) after inquiring about outdoor furniture. Darren welcomed us to the Patio area and explained how everything was laid out. He asked a few questions and directed us toward the furniture specific to having a small exterior uncovered deck. We looked at several options many of which were very nice but too large and more than we were looking to spend. After giving us time to look around Darren checked back with us to see if we had any questions. We were looking at a specific selection so he looked up all the information regarding the patio set including color, options for tables, additional seating and what was in stock and if anything was backordered. He left for a while giving us time to consider our options and we had him come back over when ready. We selected a set with an additional piece and because two pieces were not available for a couple weeks ,Darren arranged for two deliveries of the currently available and the out of stock pieces to be delivered a couple of weeks later. Our set qualified to receive a free umbrella w/stand and waived the standard $49 deliver to door fee since our total was over $1,000. Including a 3 year insurance policy, a set with two fully reclining chairs, an ottoman, coffee table, a 2-seat glider swing, an additional ottoman, the umbrella w/stand, delivery and tax the total should have been almost $1500 but was right at $1200. Darren was very patient, knowledgeable and professional. He listened to our needs and gave us the information needed to make our own decision. In a society where most places have mediocre customer service, RTG exceeded our expectations for quality, price and service. Darren represented his company with distinction. If we have any additional needs Darren will be the first person I...
Read moreUPDATE: I wrote the below review 8 months ago. Since then we have visited this location 2 more times. We returned in December to purchase patio furniture and although he wanted to John was unable to help us as he does not work in the outdoor living department. Even though he wasn't able to assist us he didn't just say "sorry can't help" and leave us to fend for ourselves. He walked us over to the outdoor living and introduced us to Ronnie. Who is just as wonderful as John. I was shopping with my mom and he gave us space and time to discuss and time for me to call the hubby and discuss as well. We were very pleased with Ronnie and will return turn to him for any future outdoor purchases. Yesterday was out most recent trip to RTG and yet again we asked for John. He was unable to assist us since we were shopping in the RTG kids section but he directed us to Miguel who works that department and Miguel was great! He had quite a few customers but kept rounding and checking on us all. We left very pleased with his customer service and our purchase. When going to this location you can't go wrong with John, Ronnie or Miguel.
My husband and I went to this location about a month ago to look for a king mattress. We had John helping us and he was great! He took his time explaining things to us when needed but also gave us our time and space to explore and discuss amongst ourselves. This is a HUGE thing for me. I CANNOT stand it when I go to a store and the the sales person won't give me time and space. We weren't ready to buy at the time because we didn't have a closing date on our home yet. Now that we do, we returned today and asked for John. He was great again! Remembered us and took his time answering all of our questions. He's absolutely great and I definitely recommend him! He'll be my go-to with any...
