Rafael was the fellow who who helped me. Very genuine and knowledgeable. He was the consummate professional even after I kept him more than an hour past his end of shift. Very impressive experience so far - more to come.
Update: Well, Rafael was supposed to check into whether or not his original estimate of almost two weeks to deliver the $10k worth of furniture that I bought Thursday was at all flexible because I did not have any furniture at all in my new house. He also had to check on a number of pieces that were out of stock. It was late when we left Thursday and he promised he would be talking to me the following day to give me an update. I tried to be patient when I did not hear from him on Friday thinking that maybe he just had a busy day or forgot or ?? Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. When I still hadn't heard from him by the end of the day Saturday I called him, got his voicemail, and left a message. Sunday same thing. When I still hadn't heard anything by Monday I called until I got him to answer. When he did answer it became immediately apparent that he had totally spaced the whole thing (or just blew it off). When I told him I had left several messages and had been calling for days he started arguing with me and started texting me screen shots of his voicemail, etc. As if me calling to remind him that he forgot to call me was somehow my fault. He continues telling me "they may be able to do something else" as far as delivery but he still has not told me what it is! This transaction has taken a bizarre twist. We will see - more to come. Before placing my order, I needed clarification about the platform options, so I decided to visit the Rooms to Go store on Vineland instead. Upon arrival, I was greeted courteously by Allen, who assisted me with my inquiry. After showing him the product I was interested in, he guided me to the in-store display. Allen provided excellent advice on the platform options and recommended a superior mattress protector that suited our needs. The purchasing process was straightforward, and since I had already decided on the product, I was able to complete my visit efficiently.
However, when the delivery arrived, my husband oversaw the receipt of the items and sent me a picture. I immediately noticed that the color of the delivered product was entirely different from what I had ordered. The online listing and the in-store display both showed only one color option, which was not what I received. I contacted customer service to resolve the issue and was instructed to reach out to the sales representative. Despite leaving a message and sending a text, I was informed that the only way to correct the mistake would be to pay an additional $340.
I then requested to speak with a manager and was assured that I would receive a call back. Here I am, 24 hours later, still waiting for that call. As a loyal customer who has never encountered issues with Rooms to Go before, I find this situation unacceptable. The king set was a significant purchase at $4,000, and I expect to receive the correct product without incurring additional costs due to an error in the system or a discrepancy in the product delivered.

Read moreI would not even give this a 1 star for my experience. I have been a loyal customer to Rooms to Go for many years and was looking to purchase my 3rd set of furniture with them on Saturday. Our sales associate was amazing and asked me if I had an account open with them. I let him know I did and he came back to let me know the account has closed and I would need to re-apply which was no problem for me to do. I applied and got declined instantly which didn’t make any sense. I called Synchrony bank immediately to find out that I already had an open account with them. So they ran my credit for no reason. I was directed to speak to management which is where this situation escalated quickly. The female manager was disrespectful and rude to not just myself but to the employee. She wouldn’t let me speak and accused me of not having an account which we had verified multiple times with her associates and the back office. She proceeded to tell me they never ran my credit and only to find out that I had an open account with her. At that point the situation I knew was not going to be handled I let her know that I can proceed to purchase the couch and that our conservation needed over since we were not agreeing. She snatched my account paper out of my hands and said with what account are you trying to buy this couch with? The employee was mortified and apologized and even called me after I left the store. This was the most embarrassing situation I have ever been apart of. If this is the manager that is representing your store she is not letting people make purchases.
