6-9-2013 RE: Main Street Estate Sales in Ottawa Il. If you are looking for an Estate Sale company to sell your quality Estate Items, then you have come to the wrong place. The way this outfit operates is that they will pick up all your estate sale items and transport them to their facility where they conveniently âloseâ about 1/3 of your items. Then they will claim that despite you having supplied them with photographs and them coming out and actually seeing and picking and choosing the items they want, that the items were of poor condition and quality and would not sell for any real money. This is by no means an Estate Sale facility. It is instead a glorified garage sale operation. They charge 50 percent of what they admit to having sold and then claim that you do not know what you are talking about when you question what happened to the rest of your property and why the prices were so drastically low?? These people are thieves and liars who become extremely arrogant and obnoxious on the phone when you question anything Sue says. First she claimed she was never given any fur coats, then she claimed she found them, come pick them up, not sold. The one coat that was new and cost $600.00 faux fur, had a $40.00 price tag. The other coat was replaced with a Jaclyn Smith K mart coat with a Wisconsin Wal mart receipt in the pocket, it was not even our coat! And it too had a $40.00 price tag. This is just an over sized garage sale, with all the merchandise mixed in with other merchandise from other sellers and from items owned by the estate sale company, they claim that they keep track of the property by color coded dots. Then they conveniently lose the dots off you property, and claim it is not yours, donât know where yours went, never got it! The receipts they give you for your property when they pick it up are illegible and they only list the large items not all the items. If you think that you will receive any real money for your estate items from this outfit think again. This is the biggest rip off outfit I have ever encountered in the last 50 years! If you plan to do business with Sueâs Main Street Estate Sales you will make more money and be far better off by having a garage sale or giving everything to the salvation army. At least you will not have to put up with the arrogant tone and obnoxious attitude you will get when you question Sue on anything. I actually thought it was my property being sold NOT Sues. Boy!...

So she called someone, I waited about 20 minutes, then asked if I could leave my number to call me when she got the price. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL! So I called Tuesday morning, I explained the table and was told it was sold. I stated that I was waiting for a call on the price , she said as soon as they priced it it was sold! I should have been called first! she said well we get busy, then it was we donât hold things, then first come first serve. PRETTY SURE I WAS FIRST! She acted quickly, holding the estate sale within less than a week, and selling the real estate in ONE DAY to an ALL CASH buyer.
