I had a great experience with Aminis. This summer I was looking for some home theater seating for my basement home theater room. I looked everywhere possible for HT seating in the KC area and found some seats that were ok, but I'm kind of picky and nothing really stood out. Finally I tried Aminis and found some seats from Row One that I really liked. I met the sales manager named Billy Slattery and he was very helpful.

I ended up liking a set of seats that is no longer made so Billy sold me the model at the store for a significant discount. When I got the chairs home I realized that they became very hot after sitting in them for 45 minutes or so (my wife didn't notice I think I'm a little too picky....) I called Billy and told him and he said no problem, I could take them back.

So, I went with a different type of leather that Billy suggested. The chairs got here a couple days ago and they are perfect. Billy stayed in contact the whole time while I was waiting for the chairs to ship, giving me updates on their progress etc.

Honestly I could have bought the chairs a little cheaper from an online seller but I have read horror stories from customers having issues with their chairs and they are out of luck. I didn't want to risk that so to me it was worth it to pay more to a local store and have full confidence that if there was a problem Aminis and Billy would take care of it.

I am pleased with the area rug that I just bought at Amini’s for my living room to go on wood-look floor. I went to Amini’s a while back to see the inventory there. I found that at Amini’s they know much more about all kinds of rugs than anywhere else I had been. I was not certain what I wanted at that point and so I continued to look. After I looking a few other places, I refocused on Amini’s. Jason showed me many good choices, including one that I perhaps saw once before with it when I was in the store but it didn’t really register with me how much I liked it. It is not one of those really classic traditional Persian rugs or anything on that level, but I am very pleased with the quality and the look of it of it, and I am glad I did not have to spend the amount that those heirlooms cost. Now I have an absolutely beautiful rug of high quality made in Egypt that I will enjoy for the rest of my life. The advantage of Amini’s to me was dealing with someone who really knew the quality and the manufacturing of the rugs, and at the same time didn’t try to get me to spend more than I considered appropriate for my budget. If I needed another rug I would go back there in a minute. Edit: This issue has been rectified in a very pleasant manner via a call from the store. They promised to try to make sure that it never happens again to anyone else and I commend them on trying to make a wrong right again. I thank them for their integrity and the call to fix the issues I felt were wrong. The owner and employees take reviews seriously and I recommend shopping with them because of the integrity they strive for with all their customers.

Before you buy, the store and most of the employees are extremely professional. After, it starts becoming a hit or miss. I bought felt for a pool table and had their installers put it on for me. The service was around $400 but I felt like I had paid $50. Pulled staples all over the floor, 1 stuck under the playing surface. My rails had to be done custom due to it being made by someone else so they went to the store. I had to call to check on them and set an appointment for them to be installed to the table when I expected to be called for it. When I called, they had been done for 2 days and had sat at the store the entire time. They came out and finished the table and the installers were much more professional this time.
