Amazing selection, but the younger gentleman who was open carrying a firearm seemed as though he didn’t want yo help me out. I first walked in and asked for a bottle of Evan Williams original. To which he replied we don’t have that only the 100 proof So I walked over to the whiskey section and saw another bottle that I wanted. When I went back and asked him for a bottle of the cask strength makers mark, he comes back with a bottle of original and said “this is all we have”. When I walked over to point at the bottle, he seemed to get an attitude. And after ringing up my bottle was very sluggish on the transaction. It took a while to get my change back and as I was waiting for him to print my receipt, he stared me dead in the face and said “what’s up then?” To which I responded “may I please get my receipt”. He replied “you are staring me in the face, what’s up”. Again I asked for my receipt, he finally printed my receipt. I normally have positive interactions when I come to this store and this was a shock, as I feel like it was unnecessarily brash. I hope that he has better interactions with people...

Finally—a liquor store that isn’t afraid to blur the line between “customer” and “bartender.” Ordered a sealed bottle? How quaint! These visionaries went the extra mile and pre-opened it for me—because who has time to deal with caps these days? Bonus points for that lived-in look; nothing says “premium” like fingerprints and a faint whiff of last night’s happy hour.

And when I called about it? Iconic. They treated me like I was the problem for not appreciating their commitment to recycling. Customer satisfaction clearly comes after “repurposing the tasting bottle.” Honestly, it’s like they’ve invented a new business model: BYOB, but they sell you the B they already opened.

Would I recommend? Absolutely—if you’re into surprises and don’t mind your liquor having a social life before...

I’ve been coming to Esquire for a while now, they always have a great selection and great prices for the area. Akash is extremely knowledgeable and versed in bourbon and whiskey. I’ve gone in a few times trying to find what I want and something new and Akash never misses with his recommendations! Staff is always helpful and the raffles are awesome! They give a fresh mix on how to allocate bottles. Best store in the area by far will keep...
