I went into the store at 10:10pm last night which is a Tuesday night. The store hours are listed as closing at 11:30pm. I asked for fresh vegetables because the one's showing were old and wouldn't pass a food safety inspection. The woman asked if I wanted fresh ones and how much I was ordering then called back to the cook. All of the staff was spanish speaking and noone spoke good enough english to communicate effectively with me as client. I stood there watching them all speaking in spanish to each other and watching the cook who proceeded to use his bare nasty hands to reach into the raw vegetable bowl and put portions of fresh vegetables into a bowl and then into a pot on the fire WITHOUT GLOVES. I said to myself, that is highly unsanitary and continued to watch. Eventually, I looked away then back and noticed he had put on gloves to move the pots around! I then said to the spanish speaking ladies who were busy speaking spanish to each other at the counter that the cook had used his bare hands to reach into the vegetable bowl. The woman looked confused and stared at me and said something in broken english about then only having rice and noodles. I asked her if that was normal for the cook to use his bare hands while handling food and not to wear gloves. She said yes, seeming like she did not understand what I was saying. She mentioned something about closing in 15 mins when the store was in way close to closing. I instantly asked for a manager and she said the manager is on break and pointed to a table a few feet from the counter where multiple people sat. I told her I needed to see the manager immediately because they had a food safety issue on their hands and she hesitated and stared then just went to the customers who had come in behind me by then. I looked around for a number to call the store hotline to report it, not finding one. I begin to walk out and she asked me if I wanted the vegetables. I told her I wanted the manager because they were discussing and had food handling violations that are discussing and dangerous. I went to my vehicle parked right at the door when I can could see right in. I called the store and asked for the managers name. The same women who were at the counter begin to speak spanish to each other and then the phone went dead. I called back after about a minute of sitting on the phone. They would not answer anymore. I am repeating this hazardous behavior to health and human services and this poor customer service. This restaurant is a hazard and they need to have English speaking staff to handle situations like this responsively rather than try...
Read moreI was so pleased that there was a Panda Express now in our Oxon Hill, MD Community. I drive from a couple blocks away, DC. I went there yesterday and fought the tight parking to go in and order my favorite Orange Chicken. Haven’t had in 2 years. First thing I noticed was the line and people social distancing. That was great. A suggestion. We are standing facing a wall but there is not menu on the wall. We are there for about 10 mins. But the menu is on the other side and we can’t see it. Either our paper menus there are add a small menu on the wall. They ask what you want as soon as you get up to that area you have to bend around to see the menu. I mentioned to someone she said good idea, she would tell the manager. The food: As she was making my bowl I noticed the veggie rice looked dry and the orange chicken had no sauce. Only the prices had sauce on them. I specifically asked for extra sauce which she said she would do. I asked for sauce packets as well. I Get home and all this dry food and the rice was hard in places. I tried to put the packets of sauce on. But not the same as having the sauce made with the chicken. I noticed a woman in front of me sayin extra extra sauce and didn’t really register until I got home. Oh! You really have to stress it more than once. SAUCE Please. So yes. The orange chicken istself wasn’t bad, but trying to choke down that dry food wasn’t cool. That’s my review. Welcome to the neighborhood maybnkt be back for...
Read moreInitially I was excited that a Panda Express was going to be in my area. Since this store opened, I have been there 3 times. Yesterday was my third and final visit. Everything time I come, there are long lines. I know this is to be expected because of the pandemic. But Panda Express is based on an Express assembly line of prepared food orders. Therefore you decide what you want because it's done. Team members run out of food and cause the customer's to wait an additional 6 to 7 minutes for orange chicken. Orange chicken is a popular item. Why is there not another bowl ready for replacement? They ran out of napkins. No napkins to wipe my hands. The only beverages they had were power sport drinks. I had to wait 7 minutes for fried rice to be cooked, another 6 minutes for orange chicken, and another 7 minutes for chicken egg rolls to be ready. If I were only ordering for myself, I would have left. But I was placing an order for my Mom as well. I have never had a bad experience with Panda Express until I went to this one located at the Rivertown Shopping center . Staff is very disorganized. Will not return to this...
