Chatterbaux Children's Shoppe — Local services in Pacific Grove

I’ll be honest. I didn’t go in. Our kids were asleep in the van, so I let my wife go in and do the shopping. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she came out with a bag of clothing that hardly looked worn(if at all) and didn’t spend half of what I thought she had. And while I am a proponent of recycling to help the planet, I am even more so of protecting my wallet in these days of such dollar crushing economics.

My wife loved the store. She did say there were some brand name items that were priced higher than she expected, but in all honesty, a business like this is only profitable by way of supply and demand. Big brand or higher quality items should cost more. And if it helps keep wonderful secrets like this in business, so be it. The items are still at least half of what they would cost brand new. And kids speed through clothing so fast, it probably got worn a dozen times at most.

Such a treasure to stumble upon. My 5yr old son loves toy hunting in thrift shops and we tried a couple in town with no success- then we found this one with only 15mins left before they closed. I was worried they would rush us out and I told my son we had to hurry but instead we were met with kind welcomes from all the staff, and they even helped my son hunt for treasures and we found so many great toys and books for both him and little brother. They have things we’ll organized in the shop and everything in fair priced. A wonderful place I've been visiting for a long time! Always a helpful, friendly staff and a wide variety of clothing, toys, books, bedding, furniture, seasonal things, etc, to choose from for girls and boys, up to around pre-tween. I love having store credit for the multitude of things I bring there, that my kids no longer wear or use, and being able to use the accumulated credits towards things my kids can currently make use of. Also, they have a new/never used area, that always provides great options for gift-giving. I always recommend this...
