Update: No change to art situation. And it is a hazard. How are we supposed to look at this? Please find a new spot for these so people can actually look at them without risk of having them fall on us or needing a ladder. Not sure why 2 years later this is still happening.
I used to really like going to this store. The people were nice, you could find some great items and a good thrift store price and it was nicely set up for browsing. Today that is not the case. Now the place is far too crowded. Most annoying is that the art is crammed into an area where you can barely view it. Large heavy frames/art are put high so that anyone who isn't at least 6 ft can't even view them and they are so crammed that they are a hazard to even look at for fear of falling on your head. Please FIX this! I used to regularly look at art there, now I don't even bother. Also, whoever is doing the pricing doesn't know what they are doing. Many items are overpriced as if it's an antique store. It's not. It's a thrift shop. Also, I've seen many times where IKEA or Ross/Marshall items are priced the same or more expensively than their original price. For example, just saw a mirror there that was priced $40, when there was still a Ross tag on the back for $23. Come on. Clean up, do a little research and learn to merchandise your products. It would greatly help the business. The people are still nice though....except when they are closing shop and in a big hurry to get everyone out of the way. I would suggest starting closing when the store hours are...
Read moreActually you are incorrect . I had nothing to do with what was posted about Michelle . It was whom was on the phone when I asked for the trash metal that was being thrown away. She is very unprofessional. Very rude. And no matter what you shouldn’t take your frustration out on someone that had nothing to do with a bad review . Everyone there will speak on how poorly she speaks to others in the work alternative program. There has not been any issues working there other than the day she works with us all there. Even the staff tip toes around when she is there and they speak on how she acts as well. I can not prevent someone from making a bad review on someone or a company . However to speak on someone that wasn’t even the one to make the review shows just how shallow of a person she truly is. But I will say this when work alternative gets the camera footage of how she reacted because I said that sucks . She will have made herself look very bad . I love the staff and the people there . But as for Michelle she is a very angry person. And I WILL be speaking to the highest available to have something done for her poor and shallow way of speaking to others . ...
Read moreI agree with a couple other of the negative posts. This place used to be much better when it first opened. The management acknowledges, but never fixes the problems mentioned. First, employees are great. Nice people and friendly, no issue with that. However, the store is very poorly merchandised and poorly priced. Quite a few items are overpriced -- not as they should at a thrift store. They put out a LOT of pure junk, like items that should never make it to the floor and should be trashed (broken, useless, etc). Most important, it is literally impossible to view any art pieces. Why haven't they fixed this? Why do you put large heavy art frames and pieces so high and crowded together so one cannot even review them? Literally impossible. Every time I go in this annoys me to no end and I can't believe they haven't fixed this. Not only is it extremely inconducive to shopping, but it's a giant hazard waiting to happen. ...
