If you happened to read my Nordstrom review ... You will know of my joining Sandy in her quest for 'the Perfect Dress'. About 6 hours later ... AFTER ... venturing into all these fabulous high quality fashion design line stores ... getting lost or losing track of Sandy ... because I took a husband approach and found a comfortable chair [only to take a second wind, mind you ... haha] ... Sandy said, "Oh look Peg! TESLA has a store. You want to buy a car?" With my head swimming and my feet dragging, I looked thru their door. And saw 3 people ... one standing tall laughing. And thought ... "just my luck that guy would turn out to be Elon Musk and I am not up to mentally communicate about his small house designs, cars, space x, etc. I would sound like a real dweeb." So I politely replied, "Maybe next time ... let's look for your dress. I've started to fade."
Which brings the journey past more strolling and window gazing and finally to Macy's 'magic entrance' ... Somehow Sandy 'came to life', energized, decisive and scanning, passing more, and more, scanning ... and then she 'found it'. Yeah ! She found her dress and it truly was "Perfect". So cool. ....
What ? Shoes ?!!??? What about Shoes ? OK ... the quest includes Shoes for 'The Dress'. But of course ... What was I thinking?
Gathering my 2nd wind ... we ventured onto the shoe department ...
Where Shanique,
wonderful bubbly Shanique, with smiling eyes because her COVID mask covered her face and Philip took over assisting Sandy's purchase of perfect shoes for her perfect dress. [ While ... I sat ... contemplating ALL the new things I saw along the way.] It was the most wonderfully enjoyable day with my friend and neighbor, Sandy. And for me ... it "was free" ... And Sandy left ... as "A tremendously happy...
Read moreThe associates in this store need to be retrained. They all seem to ask me “are you ok?” And “you’re okay right?” Rather than “can I help you find something? Or something similar. Very loudly and while they are walking they yell out to customers. The first time I heard it I really thought an associate was rushing to the aid of someone else and asking them if they are okay and then looked to see what was going on. Only then did I realize that they were talking to me and that this was some form of customer service I hadn’t experienced yet.
Store is very disorganized. Associates do not know where we can find things and one sent me to the last act section to find Ann Klein Suits. WOW what an anxiety inducing experience! Nothing is organized! No size order and everything jammed into racks that also are impossible to navigate and stay distant from other shoppers.
Bathroom was gross. Some kind of brown liquid was splattered along the entire wall of the stall I was in, and the other stall had no toilet paper.
Much of the clothing in plus sizes was stained (approximately 25% of the items I picked up). The dressing room was closed and when I went to the next department for a dressing room I asked the associate if it was open and her response was “it will be closing at 7pm,” and turned away immediately. Yes it was 6:30. I understand it was the end of the day for these people. But it really seems like no one wants to be there.
There’s a reason I only shop at Macy’s online and this store reminded me of why! If you want a pleasant experience then stay home and...
Read moreI was very disappointed after shopping at Macy’s in the Gardens Mall (PBG FL) today. I wanted a specific blanket and happened to find the very last one, but it was on a bed display. As I walked up to the associate to ask if there were anymore, it was obvious that she was texting, which didn’t bother me, what bothered me was that she looked visibly annoyed that I was asking her a question. She didn’t seem to want to help me at all, but after a few minutes in the back, she told me that there weren’t anymore in stock and that it couldn’t be purchased online. So I asked her if I could have the one on display (the package that it came in was right underneath the bed) and was told no, that they couldn’t sell display items. I honestly didn’t believe her because not only did she seem reluctant to help me in the first place, but it also just seemed ridiculous to me that they couldn’t sell it to me. So I spoke with two managers, who also both seemed equally unenthused with their job, who told me the same thing. I said ok and left because if that’s your policy, then fine. But I think that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. Why can’t you sell me the display item? I’m not asking for a discount. And once the store changes the bedding, it’s just going to go on the discount rack anyway. Just all around terrible...
