We stayed at Grand Panama in PCB. We were really disappointed with our stay. While some things weren’t the fault of Sail Away (awkward parking garage and only 2 operational elevators leaving long wait times - took over 15 minutes to get out of the condo one day - and were told by front desk that stairs were for emergency exit only) there were a few other issues that prevented us from having a completely relaxing environment. The amenities were a little outdated (no smart tvs, or Roku and VERY basic cable), the king size bed was very hard, and no comforter for the pullout couch. Upon arrival we noticed immediately that the kitchen counters were coated with a layer of dirt, the floors had not been swept (hair clumps everywhere), the baseboards clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, mold spots on the master bathroom shower wall, fingerprints/mess on the refrigerator handle, and the bunkbed stairs were black with dirt. Thankfully we bring Lysol wipes with us when we vacation but after driving over 5 + hours, that is the last thing that we wanted to do. However, we weren’t about to unpack in someone else’s filth so we had no other option but to clean and sanitize to a point where we could feel comfortable. We even had to load the dishwasher with all of the dishes so that we could have the peace of mind knowing they had been cleaned as we had noticed several dishes had been put back in the cupboards with food still on them. When I reached out to Sail Away to inform them of the unsanitary conditions that we were met with and to request that at least our cleaning fee be refunded, they ignored the request for refund and simply offered to send someone out that evening or the next morning to clean. Seeing as how we had already unloaded our vehicle with all of our things, and had already cleaned, that was no longer necessary and not a satisfactory offer. When I responded that we had already cleaned, they didn’t even bother to read it until 2 days later when we tried to turn the living room tv on and noticed that it didn’t work and reached out once again to inform them of this. They sent someone to fix this fairly quickly at least but we are still very disappointed in the lack of concern over the conditions of the condo...
Read moreThere aren't enough stars to rave about not only the condo itself but about the two people who made this trip beyond amazing Lakyn and Chris. Lakyn who spent many late nights with me on the phone booking, going over details and ensuring we had the best condo available and she didn't let us down in any way. I ordered groceries to be there before we got there and she met Instacart there and not only got our stuff into the condo but put it away for us.
We were traveling with 7 of us and were unable to find a vehicle big enough for us and our luggage and Lakyn make a call to the property manager Chris and he volunteered to not only pick us up but take us back to the airport. An absolute gentlemen!
We had minor issues that came up that were more with the HOA than with Sail Away and the second I called or text Lakyn or Chris they were all over it. Literally if there was an issue Chris was physically in the building in 10 minutes. I wish I were able to hire people like the two of them for our companies in Kansas City.
At the end of our wonderful trip my daughter left her phone in the Condo and my son his airpods. We didn't have time to turn around - Lakyn went over within 10 minutes and found the phone and when we realized the airpods were missing Chris went back over and found them and they had them mailed to us promptly.
The Condo was on the top corner - residents there referred to it as a "penthouse" It was literally amazing - TONS of room - extremely gorgeous views. It was very clean - our family was in love with the beds. The beach and pools were extremely well kept. The restaurant was good - the kids liked being able to run over there for food. We loved being right on the strip to run over and look for souvenirs or get some ice cream or just go for a walk.
I literally can't think of a single thing that we didn't love about staying here. There were some rowdy parties here in there but it was Spring Break so that is to be expected. Lakyn and Chris - THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS TRIP SO AMAZING. I am sure there are many more things I am leaving out that you went out of your way for us but just know you both were angels and heros for our trip. We will be back and are thankful for...
Read moreTo start with my biggest complaint and the reason I’m giving them one star is because they hid the $250 non-refundable pet fee, so I did not see it until after I had already booked. There was also a $20 parking fee. Both of these were taxed so between the parking fee and the pet deposit it was $302. In the listing it say's a two bedroom two bath. Therefore I did not need to look under sleeping arrangements. But if you click on sleeping arrangements and you scroll down, it shows all the amenities for the condo and you actually scroll past where it talks about pet friendly, but it still does not tell you about the nonrefundable pet deposit, you have to scroll all the way down to the very bottom of that page to find it. I still don’t know why all of this was listed under sleeping arrangements. They do not even tell you about it during your check out when they ask are you bringing a pet. I have a big problem when people try to hide and sneak something past me. I was thinking this is a pretty good deal and then the next thing I know I’ve got to come up with another $300. One other thing is why is it a nonrefundable because if my pet does not tear anything up, I should get my money back. Another complaint would be the mattresses in both bedrooms, felt like they had took all the padding and springs out and filled them full of hay they were awful. The dryer took 11/2 hrs to dry towels and clothes, one of the shower heads was not working properly, the couch was also wear completely out and if you wanted to cook anything you had to get a towel from the bathroom to get your pan out from the oven because there’s no potholders. These last few things were just small issues, like I said, my biggest issue is them trying to hide the $250 plus tax nonrefundable...
