The condo and property were nice with good amenities. But we did have one major issue throughout the week that we were greatly disappointed on the lack of attention it received.
We stayed for 7 nights, and were never able to use our balcony because of the constant smoking in the condo below us. We also were not able to keep the balcony doors open at any point to hear the waves or feel the ocean breeze. The only time we were able to go on our balcony without being overwhelmed with the cigarette smoke was before 7am and after 10pm. Every other hour of the day, there were one, two or even three people just sitting in chairs, pulled up to the railing with their ashtray, and smoking cigarette after cigarette.
After the first day, we called the management line. We were told that there was nothing they could do as they were allowed to smoke. This is not true, as there are "No Smoking" signs posted on the balconies and everywhere on the property, and there was a designated smoking area on the ground level.
We then went to the office the following day and spoke to someone in person. The response was nonchalant at best, and even though they said they'd talk to them, nothing changed.
We then called the management line again on the third day, and the response was the same.
After that, we just resolved to not use our balcony, and was not even able to put our towels and swimsuits out there as they smelled like smoke after a few hours.
Even though the property itself is nice, we are just greatly disappointed that we were unable to fully enjoy our vacation and more disappointed in the lack of effort by the staff to...
Read moreThe condo we stayed in was very nice and clean. But there were a few issues. The first was the ceiling fan had a dead battery in the master bedroom. It can only be operated by remote. This really wasn't a big issue. A couple of days after we checked in, someone came up with a battery. Second, there were 4 registered guests in the room. We had only 4 wash cloths total in the bathrooms. This was a little more inconvenient. We received 4 more on Wednesday. 4 days after check-in. Our third and final issue was the elevators. There were 3 of them, but for most of the week, only 1 was operational. Wait times were horrible. And with us on the 17th floor, stairs were not really an option with health issues. On one occasion, we waited 35 minutes for an elevator and many other times 15-20+ minutes. As for the condo, we were pleased. And would definitely stay there again. I know elevators require maintenance(but where told by an owner they had been working on them for quite a while). The elevator issue would be the only thing that would make us second guess this location. It has nothing to do with the owner. They were super nice...
Read moreWe’ve stayed at several places at PCB, but our condo at Ocean Villa was my favorite. We were in a beach front end unit. The beach is directly on the other side of the pool area. Entrance to the beach is through the pool area. Be advised that a public beach access point is right beside Ocean Villa. So on some days the beach was more crowded than I would have preferred, but still not near as crowded as the public beaches by the piers. There are two pools, one of which is partially enclosed. There’s also a hot tub. My only complaint is that parking is across the street in a parking garage, other than minimal tight parking under the condos. I would not recommend even trying to park on the bottom level under the condos. The good news about the parking garage across the street is that there’s a breeze way connecting the condos to the garage. Sometimes it takes awhile to wait for an elevator. But that’s to be expected. The balconies are very spacious and separated between units by dividers for privacy. We plan to stay here again for our...
